What is that “one expensive problem”. Seems like a good, credible channel - not sure why it has to resort to clickbait titles.

Great informative review, thanks! Looking at a 2022 right now, basically as a scooter alternative disguised as a moto (I love my S-Max for my mostly-city riding but this adds the extra dimension of occasional road rides, love the concept). After 30+ bikes if I never use a clutch again in the city I'll be very happy...400+ shifts just for my office commute !

One thing is universal: when you run this bike to redline through 3 or 4 quickshifts, you can't help but giggle in your helmet. I can't take a ride without at least one good blast. This thing is a hoot in a way that a BMW twin will never be.

I am new to the NC750X and can say it is pretty cool...78 with semis and 90 milers in a rush hour herd ...it handles like it loves corners, and tracks straight arrow in the county gravel roads running through the cotton fields here. So far very fun bike ! ( I also have a Wr250R which has been my go to adventure bike. )

It depends if headers are chrome plated steel, ferritic or austenitic stainless steel. Acids easily remove dirt / grime but also small amounts of metal and can damage the shine on chrome plated steels. Nitric / hydrofluoric acid (pickling paste) is used in the fabrication industry to passivate welds to remove contaminants created in the welding process that lead to corrosion if left untreated, and in the process leaves a corrosion resistant chrome nickel oxide layer. Austenitic stainless is the most corrosion resistant of the 3. If you're not sure which you have, chrome plated and ferritic stainless are highly magnetic, austenitic stainless are only slightly magnetic depending on nickel percentage, and using acid on this material is not an issue, rinse with bi-carb soda to neutralize acid after cleaning.

I have a TomTom 550 since six years and thousands of miles in many countries of the world. It is VERY good. What is not so good is the app and internet planner - not really user friendly and clear. But once one is going and follows a route, the TomTom is just perfect. So why am I considering a Zumo XT? Because I am getting into off road riding, with is a no go for the TomTom. I do not think I will use many of the features / app the XT has.

I would buy one if they could fix the looks of the tank, and the ugly cladding. Otherwise it looks tough and good,

Maybe some of the issues you have with this bike are because of your size? Not trying to be mean, just saying. A 1000 CC might likely fit you better.

i have a honda shadow vt750c 2009 with auxiliary lights (custom made from harley but adjusted to the bike) and they do vibrate , make trembling light in the night. barely after 10 years i hear from you that the r18 has the same issue . vibrating auxiliary lights. for my bike its logical to vibrate because of old technology but this new modern bike i thought that the problem would it be fixed. Very nice review. most of all i liked the << i do not want this anxiety >> LOOLL .

Great review. I ride for more than 25y now, have had tens of motorcycles. From motorscooters to VFR to R9T and the last years downsizing for several reasons. I don't ride often anymore and the speed limits are all around. I've test ridden this CL500 and I was impressed how much fun it gave me. Probably going to buy it. Just sold my AMAZING Royal Enfield Meteor 350. Great bike but riding on the hig and overtaking was not done with that bike. Sold it because i just don't have rhe place to have to bikes. The point is.......some call it a "beginner" bike but I hate that word, beginner bike. It's just want you want and need right. And believe me. With the power of the CL500 you are able to lose your license, you still can have accidents and more. Driving 100kph where rhe soeedlimit is 50kmp is also dangerous. So. Beginner bike. It's all in the mind. I particular like the CL500 over the competition in the 400/500 class because a lot of the other bikes are single cilinder bikes and thos twin is butter smooth and in my opinion less agressive than, for example a Kawasaki Z500 or Duke 390. Lucky their are bike for everyone's choice😉

I have a 20 1250GSA. I was thinking I wanted more weather protection. I occasionally will travel gravel/dirt roads for miles. I wondered if RT better for 500 mile road days and skip the dirt. I do 5k mile rides a few times a year.

Honda may be boring and the parts are redundant from their other bikes but guess what, In my country, there's currently a shortage on spare parts for the Triumph Speed 400 and backlogs can go as far as 2 months for something as basic as clutch cables. Meanwhile, I can just buy parts from the Rebel 500 and CB 500X.

I've got a Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 the chain is the original Indian unit and now has 18,000 kms on it, its hardly stretched at all. I just garden hose it off in gear, clean it with a bit of rag and drip XD gearbox oil on it. If it ever wears out I want to get one of those. One reason its lasting so long is the Himalayans severe lack of ponies 😅
