This bike just keeps getting better! The last main hurdle of this bike is sorting out the title situation which I have been working on since day 1. Once I have that sorted I will update everyone.

I used the zip tie method to put on new tires on my bike last week and the rear tire took 4min 2 sec to seat 😁 then front tire was even faster . definitely the way to go when mounting tires yourself.👍

From my hideout in S/E Asia, I get a very real sense of what you do to be replicated here, although not to your high standards. Local workmanship has always appealed to me, and they've kept my CB's alive and well, although a shortage of original parts means borrowing and adapting. It's a pleasure to sit and watch your work as the monsoon barrels in at 4:00pm

Nice job salvaging the front brake parts and straightening those forks! On the 74 CB750 that I salvaged out of a shed my front master and caliper were similar and I just never thought to save them, so I replaced them with aftermarket parts. Really like that chopper! Hard to believe the stock pipes are still on there. Can imagine how many folks watching this channel would love to have those on their bike!

Oh the pipes are definitely the most desirable bit to say the least. While yes you can replace a lot of stuff for less time, I often like to rebuild when I can as the parts on the bike have a consistent patina to everything else.

Dude the forks, brakes and tires were great to see repaired and replaced but god damn if I didn't REALLY want you to clean those wheels up abit with some scotchbrite and pot polish. All in all still one of my favorite builds.

Hi You left out the best part: how to get the circlip out of the brake master cylinder! 🙂 And this would have the perfect opportunity to twin-disc the front wheel - we all know it needs it.

I don't like to show things I don't have a proven method for so that's why I don't show removal. As far as the brakes they work great. No 2nd disc needed at all

No video unfortunately. It bypasses all safety features by tapping into switched 12v on the black wire. One side of the switch goes to black, the other to a solenoid lead, other solenoid lead goes to ground

Well done. I’m taking my bike for another inspection today because I’m an idiot and let the one from May expire, and now my plates are expired 🤦🏻 then to the DoR. Side note: we sat through the parade yesterday, and thought, “BJ should participate in one of those.” Have you ever considered that? I’d be fun if you can keep them cool at a marching band pace for a few miles. Does your town have a parade on the 4th?

I wonder how much it costs to rechrome the wheels. A 16in rear was put on my 1975 cb750 and I'm not sure how to find a replacement and it looks worse than yours. I also need to get the frame powder coated. I don't think that will be too bad because there is a shop here that does a lot of dirt bike frames for a decent price.

I'd be more worried about the chrome plating being worn off the fork tubes than the bend. That's going to just chew up those new fork seals.

Yup, no other option here. We did sand then wet sand down to 3000 grit though to get them level and smooth.

Soap & water is safer. Silicone spray shouldn't be sprayed anywhere near tyre tread. Bad look. 15:03 Forks look twisted. Triple clamp ?

No it is not. This seats via the conical portion and not the flat area like an original setup. Look inside your caliper and you will see a traditional flare
