Why did you leave the ring and the ABS sensor when you dismantle the Abs pump? In my opinion, you only weakened the brake disc by making holes in it

A lil trick I do to keep my anodized nuts looking good is just put a piece of shop towel or a thin rag in your socket or wrench.... that prevents the metal to metal contact, which is what scratches them and also helps from the lil bit of stipping that happens over time...try it, ull be happy u did. 👍🏻bikes looking good too bro.

It is good that you have the abs ring back on the disk, but the 2 bulky abs modulators will also have to go back plus I am not sure abs will work with delinked brakes. In my opinion linked brakes are one of the best features of vfr800.

u could have saved that sprocket if u tapped that hole but did the drilling on a drill lathe machine or a tabletop drill instead of a handheld drill... could have tightened it to the drill tabletop and it wouldnt have slipped around on your causing that scratching on that beautiful black sprocket!! little details really do matter.. consider throwing on some red nut washers that r popular now adays, that would be a cheap way to really set the look of the bike off with some nice contrasting bolt washer cap type setup, that help so a bolt will never get pulled thru the body or windscreen or wherever you end up using em.... they r my go2! -p3t3r

1) without the hub guard 2) the spikes might look cheesy, but too early to say 3) will that abs rotor actually work? I don't know what sort of sensor is used. That needs testing. 4) should have sent the sprocket back, if the manufacturer doesn't know he's screwed up how can he correct it?

I say rear axle hub, no t-rex on it :-) Also, when you torque down the wheel, make sure to do it in cross pattern, so 1-3 2-4. Love the spikes, keep going with all the anodized red stuff, it makes a world of difference. And im that guy now, sorry, but I dont like the rubber u mounted, I dont see how it fits with this awesome naked :) Love the videos bro keep em going! Big peace out from Denmark

The torque for the lug nut is 80 ft/lbs. 108Nm. And YOU NEED TO PINCH IT AT THE END!! There is a small opening in the threads at the tip. And that's the reason it was so hard to get of.. if you did not open the pinched part.

The Belgians gave the world several important inventions, such as the saxophone, the Big Bang theory or the asphalt road. Just for order. And then in 2009, a few determined Belgians decided to make something else that they believed the world lacks. VFR800RR Bioblade. In 2008 there was a moment in which bikers from all over the world had little hope. Launch of a new sports motorcycle with V4 engine. Honda's stand at an exhibition in Milan illustrated the atmosphere of expectation. Decorated with V4 logos and lined with an impressive collection of historic V4 racing machines like the RC45, RC30 and NR750. Fervent photographers waited with the lenses of their cameras pointing over the heads of hundreds of waiting journalists. There, shrouded on a raised platform, there was supposed to be a new, long-awaited V4 supersport. But as soon as the solemnly torn tarpaulin of the motorcycle had fallen to the ground, these hopes also quickly disappeared. Under the sail was planned for 2010, sports-travel VFR1200F. "If Honda is not interested, we will build such a machine!" They said after the exhibition in Milan, two Belgian journalists writing for Motorrijder magazine. They decided to build something special. A motorcycle whose development will be inevitable for Honda in the near future. Given the minimal experience of these two men with the construction of motorcycles, their determination, compared to a powerful Japanese manufacturer, made comic. But after 18 months of hard refurbishment work involving the use of the maximum possible Honda parts, the VFR800RR Bioblade was born. When you say 800ccm V4, you immediately think of MotoGP. Rossi, Hayden, Stoner and their high-tech prototypes. Machines that are not allowed on the road due to legislative requirements. But what if there was a prototype built on serial, homologated parts? Powered by a V4 engine, in MotoGP replica colors? Sounds tempting, doesn't it? Three basic objectives were set for the construction of VFR800 Bioblade. Maximum power should be comparable to modern 600cc machines, but available over a wider range of speeds. Especially at lower revs, these machines were supposed to outperform better. The visually striking machine should be able to compete with machines such as the Aprilia RSV4R. And as the icing on the cake should be environmentally friendly. Looking at the fallen crumpled wreckage of the VFR800 model year 1999, it is difficult to present the planned final form of the new machine. But from the broken motorcycle, only the frame and heart of the new motorcycle, the four-cylinder forks, was used. The next step was to buy another, crashed motorcycle, namely Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade model 2005. Excellent fork, rear suspension and brake system completely replaced the original VFR800. The VFR800 thus acquired a brand new front. The rear was then completely replaced by a voluminous podsedlovka behind the slim and light of the Fireblade with the exhaust under the saddle. Custom-made downspouts were supplied by Akrapovič. These, together with the trailer and cams with a sharper profile, highlighted the characteristic sound of the engine. The engine has a very decent 125bhp / 10,000 rpm. and torque of 78.5Nm at 8250 rpm. By reprogramming the fuel map and replacing the exhaust tailpipes, power has increased to 134bhp on the rear wheel. Not bad at all. A bunch of Belgians. The original chubby bonnets of the VFR800 were replaced with more fitting Honda SP1 plastics, and the aftermarket alarm clocks for the Bimota DB7 complete the transformation. Professional lacquer is reminiscent of the Honda Fireblade Limited Edition, only the small HRC (Honda Racing Corporation) lettering has been replaced with the MRC (MotorRijder Concept) logo. However, the realization had its pitfalls. The first deployment in the race was prevented by the low ground clearance, when the motorcycle cut the downpipes. They then reworked at Akrapovič and the result was second place in the second run of the Belgian Endurance Championship. So no Economy Cup. Then Bioblade was converted from a racing prototype to a motorcycle approved for use on public roads. And still green intermezzo. Bioblade runs on biofuel made from alcohol. It is made from plants such as sugar cane, fruit or potatoes. Fermentation and subsequent distillation yields ethyl alcohol, which is mixed with gasoline. The E85 fuel contains 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. According to BP's estimates, by 2030 biofuels will cover 20% of all transport performance. A liter of E85 costs about half the price of regular gasoline. That is, if it is available at all. It should be noted that Bioblade consumes about 25% more consumption. But on the other hand, it still means more than 220 km range with the original 21.5 liter tank. This was left for practical reasons, such as cost savings and the possibility of using a magnetic tankbag. The motorcycle was not created with the intention of being a impractical piece shown after shows, but a usable machine for ordinary bikers. But a bunch of enthusiasts can hardly compete with Honda's engineering teams. That's why the 212kg Bioblade weighs more like a VFR with a great chassis than a lightweight supersport. When driving on the circuit is sitting comfortable, very close to Suzuki GSX-R750, with more foot space. When driving on the road, the sporting seat will exert greater pressure on the wrist. But this is an affordable price for something so special. All in all, these determined guys, hit the nail on the head. Rather than comfortably publicize their disappointment with the VFR1200F, they built their motorbikes themselves. Despite the limited budget and technical resources. And they deserve credit for that. Will the VFR800RR ever get into production? Hard to say. Honda, Belgium, described it as “interesting”. But you know the typical Belgian chatter. Technical Specifications: Engine 781ccm V4 Performance 125bhp (93.2kw) / 10000 rpm Torque 78.5Nm / 8500 rpm Transmission 6-speed Operating weight 212kg Fuel tank 21 liters Price of conversion £ 14,000
