After watching many videos with instalation of different aftermarket exhaust I concluded that the cost of these full exhaust systems are worth only if you run the motorcycle without db-killer + remap and you benefit from a sport, rasp, deep sound that makes you feel you ride a true sport motorcycle. With the db-killer in the sound is a little better than stock and I don't think I would spend almost a grand for just a little better. The weight reduction though is consistent, this is quite a good benefit.

Make sure you do a PAIR valve delete along with a proper dyno tune now with the aftermarket exhaust on any bike. Also, I would always wear gloves when doing an exhaust install. Oils from your skin will etch into the pipes when they warm up. Leaves basically Permanent finger prints

No ECU tune to compensate for the changes ? it's really worth getting, you are spending somewhere around 20% the cost of the exhaust system on a custom map and that custom map is what actually improves the throttle respons, improves power and ride. The exhaust is great looking, but really does nothing good for how the bike runs, besides sound ofc.

If you do this, do not remove the silencer as the bike loses a few hurse purrs from the lack of backpressure. Also, yes if you do this, you absolutely should install a Power Vision and get it dyno tuned, otherwise you're pretty much just gimping your bike to make it sound slightly better. However, a good tuner should be able to get you at least a 10% hrspr improvement (personally got 11.25%).

Do you have a reason why you chose the Akrapovic exhaust over other exhaust types? For example SC project or the Austin racing exhaust.
@jjmax20074 жыл бұрын
Yes yes I choose this one cause I wanted to keep the same style as the OEM look and not the side mounted can if the bike did not come that way.....

@@jjmax2007 I came back to your video again because I wanted to see how you put those headers on. That must have been a nightmare. I upgraded mine after having it for 2 days last week, but my headers were a single unit (IXIL) which made it "easier" to install as I didn't have any of those springs on the headers. I do have the exhaust on the side, but I have to say that it looks and sounds very nice! Now after all the changes I made to it, I just have to put the first mile on it... ha ha ha. Servus from Bavaria and thanks!

Oh snap that's awesome glad to have helped with the video the spring was the one part I wish I knew going in cause I was fighting with the header then I was like no no no there has to be a better way and when I took off the header and installed one at a time the bolt would not go on and the spring stay in place so yea my struggles for ur smooth process

Just a question, how did you got your indicators to be lit all the time? I really want this for my CBR650R. Thank you
@TheRafeMan4 жыл бұрын
It's only available in the US. European models don't have the option. You can tell because there are only 2 wires going to the indicators of the European version (I have a UK CBR650R). The US version has three wires which keeps them lit like daytime running lights. Contrary to this, the European CB650R has the indicators on all the time as it's the 'naked' version so provides more visibility.
