2024 Honda CBR650R / Akrapovic Racing Exhaust Install & Sound

With any exhaust installation make sure you’re wearing gloves (I prefer Nitrile) to ensure you don’t leave ANY fingerprints as a wipe down post instillation won’t get ride of all of them. Another good suggestion is to also wipe down all parts of the after market exhaust prior to installing as even though they might be packaged well they still could have some fingerprints from factory. Best, simplest and cheapest cleaning options are a dilution of white vinegar or a mild detergent followed by a good rinse and dry. I always seal each component ends to prevent anything entering each section. This method is a fraction the cost of any exhaust and done correctly is foolproof.

You're not getting rid of the fingerprints because you're not using the right type of liquid or soap to wipe them off with. Just dish soap and water will work just fine. It's not complicated.

@ Hmmm. Liquid, soap and dish soap. I take it you don’t actually know the differences between detergents and soap as it’s a little bit more than what you think. Just keep it simple by wearing the appropriate gloves for any exhaust installation.

I have a question; the 2024 models of the CBR650R also have something known as an O2 sensor which makes it incompatible with the old exhausts of the same bike; so did you tweak something or did you get one for this year? Because as far as I know, i cannot add a exhaust on my cbr650R because of this. I am getting mine in 4 days from today🎉

@@INFAMAS to help with flexing. heat and bolts can snap over time. springs absorb vibrations and have a lower falliure chance

because the material the use flex alot with temperature changing, the spring construction is prefered to keep it sealed and no tension on the components
