He can though. Matt Farah gives credit where credit is due and criticism where criticism is due, substantiates his arguments, and has built a very strong following on account of that. So yes, he can do exactly that and provided he has good judgement, his opinion will be respected. After all, when you love everything you drive, the risk your opinion will lose a good amount of its meaning for a lot of people is significant. A more critical approach is not inherently negative and in fact has shown itself here and in traditional journalism to be very positive.

I picked up my fk2 type r in championship white last Saturday. I've owned the ep3 anniversary edition, fn2 gt with rage alloys and can say this car is absolutely worlds apart. I have never liked turbos but this is the best car ive ever driven, its raw and exciting over all the boring shit out there these days. I've only had it a week but I'm so happy with it, it drives brilliant and gets so much attention I couldn't believe, I've had kids filming it, people shouting and staring. It would also destroy a focus rs around the track and there wouldn't be anything in it on a back road, believe me I know. This is one of the best cars out there, period. Great review, been waiting ages for it.

Art Vandelay go and buy a boring car then, buy a S line Audi or a golf R, what's the point? They look exactly like the diesel versions inside and out, you're not getting any more for your money except a faster version. I've never had one bad remark and everyone is interested to know more about it. I think you've been watching too many reviews on KZbin with journalists trying to come up with something new to say. People go on about it being embarrassing to drive, but the same person would say their dream car is a fucking bright green Lamborghini with a huge spoiler on the back..... which this car would beat on any back road or even the Nurburgring. Go watch a video of an Audi A5 convertible and let us know how cool you look in it.

Good energy in the review. It surely didnt seem exciting from the viewer standpoint because there is a complete lack of sound with these cars, I think it would've been good to mention how quiet the car is. Also ...Jamie I understand that you are a Honda lover and that all car enthusiasts are drawn to a specific brand but as a reviewer/journalist (whatever you call yourself) it is necessary to approach these reviews as neutral and unbiased as possible.

Almost bought a red one of these. But I found a good condition 2005 Ep3 unmodifed so I whent with that and I am happy with it. Also own a FN2. I like them both. But there is indeed a difference in them.

If it wasn't for UK emissions I think Honda would have kept going with the naturally aspirated Vtec screaming engines.... However I love my FK2 CTR, I laugh like you when ever I accelerate in it.... it's so much fun and the grip is... well basically witchcraft! :D

Fine so far, obviously with all the torque you can't accelerate hard in the wet from standstill as you won't get far but outside of that it feels very composed in the wet.... However I am still getting used to it so haven't pushed it really hard.

Because of the sudden increase in torque when it comes on boost, the turbo Civic probably feels faster even if it's actually about the same as a NA EG K20 (same trick with old subarus).

That idea about turbos being slower than s/c is long gone,why do you think modern turbo cars hit peak torque at so low rpm nowadays Even a well setup older turbo can be that responsive. My old b16a turbo boosted practically as soon as you press the gas

Why are you comparing a stock car to a modified ones? There are already FK2 CTR's with over 350bhp and 500nm of torque with just a remap... they will be much quicker than anything that came before them with Stage 2 mods and beyond.

It's a fun car to drive but the worst car for a B road by a mile because 1 mile into the drive your back will be broken and all your fillings rattled out the suspension is so overly stiff. It's been addressed in the new model supposedly but it's the Achilles heel of what could otherwise have been a great instead of just good car.

I feel this car is just trying too hard to be a appealing to the tuner generation, but I'm not sure it works like that, tuners like to stick their own vents, spoilers, splitters on etc A car like this makes it hard to give it your own personal touch, and being a front wheel drive I would imagine you'd be hard pressed to squeeze any more usable power out of it without under steering off the first corner, thumbs up for cadging a ride but I still say RS all day
