I had a 4 door one of those as my 1st car, after a spray & a set of mags it looked pretty nice, it was such a reliable simple little car, enjoy yours.

Those are a great event for the rat rod Civic, perfect for u-turns compared to your competitors. I did two years in a row in 79 and 80’s won both. Keep up the fun and the car looks great.

I actually love these old civics. Years ago I seen a yellow one converted with a civic city turbo conversion was super cool

Jay Dee 86 GTS I’ve been looking for a city turbo engine for ages with no luck, would love to do that swap. They run 14psi boost stock

Hi, can I ask you where you bought the black wheel arches? Like them!
@JLmedia-hpattern4 ай бұрын
They’re generic eBay ones, make sure they’re plastic bit filler glass though so you can shape them a bit better

What are the fender flares off of or are they Honda specific?
@JLmedia-hpattern3 жыл бұрын
They’re just generic eBay plastic ones, there are a couple different options but these were mid range and defiantly not fibreglass

I have a 76 1200.. I would sell both peanuts for a 5 speed. Any insight on the later model 5 speed I need for the swap?
@JLmedia-hpattern5 жыл бұрын
I am just Robert it’s the first two years of the second generation that bolts right up, same as the RS of the first gen as far as I know. Pretty hard to find still

@@JLmedia-hpattern Will a 5 speed off a 1983 Honda civic fit in place of a 1979 transmission?
@kevinseibold91153 жыл бұрын
@@JLmedia-hpattern While Civic 5 speeds through 1979 will bolt in and are fully functional, they do have a higher final drive ratio than the earliest 1200's. those were equipped with around 4.93:1. If, big if, you can find a countershaft from a 1980 Civic 1300 high altitude emission model, it is possible to mate it the early 1200 trans. Besides the countershaft you will need to machine the early housing to mate new style counter bearing.

Hey not sure if you’re still interested but I have a 76 1500 with the 5 speed I’d be willing to part with
