Nice work, love the palm torque wrench. Good way to keep from over tightening, but would recommend checking it with an actual torque wrench the next time you happen to have one handy.

After two years does the Fel-Pro Valve Cover Gasket holding up well? Did you use the Fel-Pro VS 50614 Valve Cover Gasket Set? Would OEM gasket better than Fel-Pro ones? Thanks!

Hey I was trying to change mine on a 97 how come the little round seals when I type down the valve cover bolts is pooching out through the holes what did I do wrong

I just did this to my 98 LX sedan less than a year ago, less than 5k miles & it's leaking again. Why?

Did you use OEM gasket? The guy who works at Honda official service said to me aftermarket parts are prone to leaking. He replaced my leaking on with OEM and no leaks so far (but did only 2400km since).

@@InesGojak Thanks for the heads up. I've worked on cars including driveway hotrods for 30+ years & I always had confidence in Fel-Pro. I have learned on my Nissan Xterra that sometimes it likes only Nissan parts. Thanks again, I'll try the OEM Honda valve cover gasket next.

@@kicknsystm if you can use OEM is his advice..and don't change part if I is not necessary. He didn't want to replace my shock absorber 🤣 (I bough new Monroe " just in case", wanted to change from prevention, car was fine on yearly check) He said nothing will last as the part the car come with from factory. Have the car since May and previous owner used cheap crappy parts and it shows. Can't put in reverse properly half of the time, the spark plug gasket rings on valve cover fitted wrong. Plan to keep car for a long time and that really matters

The only thing is OEM is sometimes too expensive...In my country driveshaft booth for 6th gen at official dealership is 135 EUR a piece and that is just ridiculous

@Alex Daniele, I haven't driven the civic in a while, but last I looked, it was clear of oil leaks! Hopefully it stays like that!
