Gold seals were Dunlop's as I recall or as many called them Japlops.

Sounds right . How we used to mock eh? I do remember the 1960s type Bridgestones weren't hugely well regarded but like everything else Japanese bikes just kept getting better when we were getting worse and worse.

@@rodcurrieclassics8102 I was never really involved in tyre sales although occasionally someone would buy a genuine Honda tyre. Also when Honda did the Phil Read/Honda Britain versions of the F2 sohc we had all the tyres and were selling them cheap in pairs. I think those were 'Japlops'
