Honda Connect, Doors Lock/Unlock, Engine (AC) On/Off without KEY. Its Ok but NOT a must have feature

Honda Connect app is Good. Doors Lock/unlock may come handy, But Engine On/Off not essential, might be useful in harsh summers. Door Lock/unlock is useful though. The other day i turned on cabin light, and forgot to turn off, As i went down for a walk, i checked my cabin lights were on, this app helped to unlock and turn off the lights without key.

Thanks for making videos on Elevate. Very helpful. I’m taking delivery of my Elevate next week. I was wondering if TPMS and Dashcam view / info are also integrated with the Honda connect app? Any inputs on this will be helpful.

IF you are buying TPMS and Dashcam from Honda, YES TPMS works and you can view TP on Honda connect app, but NO for Dashcam, you need to install a separate app - GoSure Just for info- Dashcam honda selling is too costly for the features it has. its 10-11k for Full HD (1080) single channel (front) only. For that price, you can good 4k pixels dashcams with dual channel (front & rear). Else for 4000 INR, you have Qubo dashcams too

Thqnk you And YES, Honda connect app requires internet connection. The app doesn't even start/load without internet connection. So, No Data - No Honda Connect.

I'm planning to buy ZX CVT in Orange color and would like to hear from you on the color maintenance. I believe you own it for more than 9-10 months and have you ever faced any issue with the color ? Any chance of color getting shading off/becoming dull or how it looks if there are any scratches ?

@@NareshD-r4l Truly saying i pre-booked Blue at first. But i got attracted to Orange, this orange is bit of reddish kind and its one year for me, this color has good road presence, and visibly shines even from far distances. And dust wont be visible easily unlike darker variants. I didn't do any coating, just regular cleaning and occasional washing. I never liked dark colors because of their poor visibility in dark, also dust and scratches are easily visible. Go for orange..

Only 10 mins, Engine auto shuts off after 10 mins.

What about geo-fencing and car theft security features on the honda connect app? Can we do live tracking or car lock with the app?

1. YES it has Geo Fence setting, You can add a Geo Fence for your car from 400m to 160km range. and you can add any number i think (i added 3) like Home, Office etc. and it alerts you either enteriing or exiting the Geo Fence area. 2. It has a Tow Away alert from 400m to 2km, you can set as you deaire 3. Likewise it has Valet alert (parking) same distances 4. Low Fuel Alert, Engine On/Off alert, Collision Alert, Malfunction Alert etc 5. And unauthorized alert. Ofc The app has many safety features

@@akshaygupta8723 Infact it is done at the dealership only, and via otp. They register your vehicle in system, and you will receive OTP.

V MT or any MT has only door Lock/Unlock feature.. But NOT Engine Starting (Nor AC On/Off). Only CVT variants has Engine Start/Stop feature additionally.

Sir...when we remote start the car by the key, it starts and AC is on...but when we get inside the car, the speedometer dial and music touchscreen are all switched off...only when we stop the car and start again, the dials are working normal....is it correct or i miss something ?

Infact you have push the brake pedal and the start button, the engine wont turn off. It keeps running. If you pull down hand brakes, the engine gets turned off. So keep your foot on Brake Pedal and press Start.

1. Press LOCK 🔒 button once.. only just a tap and your vehicle re-lock and lights blink. 2. Hold 3rd button ↩️ for 2-3 seconds..Bingo, your vehicle starts. Remember- For engine STOP, just press the HOLD button for 1-2 seconds. Dont press Unlock button at all for remote start.,it wont work but vehicles gets unlocked.

I am able to switch on ac . But when i try to click ac button again to turn off . It give me some kind if error on the app. Can you pls cobfirm if we can turn off ace before the 10 min period. ?

Remember, the remote operations will only work twice. If it gives you an error, you can do manual operations once loke start your car and turn off, and lock your car. Click on refresh in Honda Connect App. It gets reset. and the remote operations should work fine. again it only works twice.

@@deepaksahoo1428 You can definitely turn off from far off, within 10 mins. But if you face any error, then follow the process i shared. And anyways, your vehicle engine will auto turn off after 10 mins. And you can also continue your engine/AC to run more than 10 mins too, by just pressing your Lock key once and press Hold key for 2-3 seconds before 10 mins exhausting. The engine will continue to run for additional 10 mins.

Brother went for my VX MT, PDI but upon unlocking via car key the lights didn't lit up thought orvms opened, any idea?

On unlocking, cabin lights definitely turn on, check ur light switches once. Open ur door and check if they are glowing. if so, then the definitely will turn on unlocking by key or app. Check if ur cabin light switch is in center position.

@@rohitmohapatra5663 Head light switch should be in Auto Mode..Only then, does Head Lights lit as you unlock, Check if ur heald lights switch has AUTO mode. Auto head lights turn on only if ur vehicle is in little darker parking area like flats, cellars etc. if your parking is full of Sun light, they won't turn on. Fog lights dont auto turn on, only works manually.

No, Ofc i thought of it, but my drive is 95% city. And i check up my tires every 3 weeks and yes NITRO always. I have access to good Tire Shop just 500 mtrs from home. So didn't feel TPMS is a necessary.

Hello, have few questions regarding ADAS features - 1. Is it possible to switch off all Adas features ? 2. Is it required to do this setting every time the car is turned ON ?

ADAS. Excepting Brake assist, rest all can be turned off. Brake assist u have to turn off every time., but i didn't turn off ever and 'am now used to it (nearing 2 months) Brake assist would give warning, but will force initiate if u go too close to a vehicle ahead, say 1 to 1½ mtr. it doesn't stop ur vehicle to zero in traffic, but reduce the speed., and wont disturb u in bumper to bumper traffic ofc.

Thank you for the info...is there a setting in the collision break assist feature to set distance before a warning/car reduces speed ? For example - You mentioned that for 1-1.5 meters gap b/w vehicle ahead, this thing works in your car. Is it possible to define this distance to any other value ?

@@yashraj9982 No, you dont have option to adjust the distance at which it has to work. Ofc, it gives warning in the dash board even at longer distances (15-20 mtrs) about an obstacle (vehicles/pedestrians etc) when you are in good speeds. Calibration is company adjusted, so dont have option to adjust. But wait, there is some adjustment i guess in Cruise Control, the other day i was able to change some distance settings like there are 4 lines, and as u click, lines or distance is adjusted I will have to check and confirm.
