Thank you for your supreme work on your KZbin videos both Toyota and others. I have a 2011 Accord 2.4 that had ABS module problems. I sent the module in to a firm in California for rebuild. Since then no ABS code problems

Hi great video 👍🏼. I have a 2008 Honda Civic 1.8l and I’m having issues with the calibers sticking. I changed and installed new calibers, slider pins, rotors, brake pads and both front brake line hoses. I’m still getting sticky calibers causing the rotors to get hot while driving. I did a complete brake flush to make sure there’s no air in the lines and filled the brake fluid reservoir to the correct full level but can not seem to find the problem. There’s no leaks around the master cylinder, no ABS or break lights on and the brake lines look good. Brake fluid runs through the front and back brake lines properly. I’m stuck on this one. If you or anyone have any ideas on what my issue is can you please let me know. I’m not getting any codes. Thank you.

Honda need to recall all these ABS module issues from 2005- 2023!! No wonder Honda are no longer top 10 when it comes to reliability!!!

The scanner isn’t slow it’s the communication bus net work on the older vehicle.

I’ve a 2006 Honda Pilot EX-L with low mileage, approx 62,500, with same issue. Honda should have a recall on their way to early faulty ABS Modules! Strange though as the warning icons random turn off for several days then show up again for several days and then disappear yet again. I’m wondering if in fact there’s a loose connection somewhere therefore setting off a false faulty 84.1 code? However thankfully you’ve reassured me that the normal brake system remains intact because the unit is currently not available as well. Honda needs to keep all years of ABS Modules available as this seems to be an ongoing expensive issue for their vehicles that most unfortunately they’re ignoring therefore intentionally avoiding a “service safety technical recall” on because they don’t want to offer free replacements. 🤬

Love your channel. I have a 2016 Highlander I change the oil every 5000 miles in the change the filter in the oil every 10,000 miles. The filters a little too much for me to handle so I take it to the Toyota dealership to change the filter every 10,000 miles. The oil looks great at 5000 miles The oil looks great . Is this okay

Surprised to see this fail so early in the lifetime of the vehicle. These go for 200k-300k easily with proper upkeep. The K24 engine is super reliable in general but don't like low oil levels (the other video with head gasket was interesting). Is your customer interested in selling it? I'd buy this CR-V.

I have a 2005 Honda CR-V 4WD with a 5 speed manual transmission and it also has a 84-1 code. Just had it diagnosed at Honda and they said that the brake light switch was not installed correctly so they fixed that and cleared the codes. They said if it comes back again that I would need a new abs module which naturally is discontinued from Honda and there are no aftermarket units available either. However I did have a trusted independent mechanic friend of mine scan it at his shop and he also got the 84-1 code so if it comes back again, which I predict it will then I will replace the brake pressure switch.

The engine can last long on Hondas but they have strange little quirks. Little things always need attention.. little ABS motor could be the problem, or the electronics.. transmissions are weak and need their special kind or else goodbye.. I hope you can think if they don't just want to do a non ABS car like in the late 90s that maybe you ask them to bring you a junkyard original or even a dismantler. Of course you can't guarantee the part but you will visually inspect it before committing and also only guarantee your labor.. but $4k repair for a $5k car, I don't think so, even with low miles.
