The practical upgrades are: hands free tailgate (this is actually pretty awesome), LED headlights, navigation, and roof rails ($400+ add-on). Upgrades which are nice, but aesthetics... 19'' wheels, various chrome accents. Things I don't like... a very weak AC fan and auto-stop/start cannot be turned off (so your car turns off at every time you stop your car).

"your car turns off at every time you stop your car" , this is how HYBRIDs work, you hit the gas pedal, engine starts, once you lift your foot, engine turns off, when AC is on, the car doesnt turn off often.

Use the s mode on the transmission always to drive in s gear and the auto turn off is disabled automatically and performance is better .The led headlights earn a safety plus rating and are worth it.

@@daviddavid1283 Thanks, I was not aware of the S mode work around. Per the owner's manual, the two work arounds for auto stop (non hybrid CRV) is either set the AC on the lowest temp (but it can be on the lowest fan setting... which isn't bad given the extremely weak AC), or turn on the front defroster (blowing air to the windshield). Of those two work arounds, I found setting the AC to the lowest temp the best choice today (since we are in the middle of summer).

Hey Chris. Nice comparison of the two trim differences. I just bought a very clean, very low mileage 2020 Touring and so far, I love it (yes, I'm writing from the "future" in 2024). One thing these Generation 5 CR-V's have that the 2023 - 25's don't is a flat platform in the back. From what I've read, the 4th and 6th Generations have a hump in the back when you fold down the seats. Honda kind of reverted backwards on that one. The two position cargo tray is awesome. Also, I was wondering if Honda has added any more features to their passenger seats. I just rode in my daughter's Ford F150 and it had a passenger massage seat! Pretty nice! Anyway, great video😎👍

You also get a movable position lumbar support, power folding mirrors (I believe) and right lane turn camera view by pushing in the turn signal button or stalk to name a few. Otherwise the EX L trim package is right for me. I'm adding some Honda OEM stainless steel exhaust tips this week. Keep up the good work!

Hello JR and thank you for watching!! American Honda Market may have different standard features compare to other Honda markets out there, for example Canada. Both trims have the lumbar support and blind spot information system that has replaced the Honda Lanewatch (camera on passenger mirror). Currently there's no power folding mirrors yet. Some Honda models only have the two way lumbar support but the Honda CRV does have the four way lumber in the American Honda Market.

Chris I just got the 2022 crv tour and discovered I do not have parking sensors. I do have the back up a camera. What does the camera behind the front mirror do? Do I need to to buy the parking sensors that Honda offers for $1380 dollars? I am 81 years old. Please help.

You should have parking sensors on the Touring trim (American market). There's a button on the right side labeled with (P) that allows you to enable or disable the parking sensors.

Can you use use the search function on the navigation while the car is moving. I had navigation on a Honda goldwing and you had to be stopped to use it.

The Sport trim is not available in the American market but is in the Canadian market. I'm not 100% familiar with it. It looks like theres LX 2wd, LX, Sport, EXL, Touring Hybrid for the Canadian Honda Market. In order from entry-level to top.

I have heard about this happening to a small number of CRVs in 2018 and early 2019 but American Honda has shared that this has been addressed with a software update. Within my four years, I haven't had a customer here in Iowa share this situation yet. Thank you for your support and watching!

after doing crazy amount of research.. there's no setting or anything from Honda about this because what you're seeing from other videos is adjusted frame rates making the exterior lights show as flickering or the recording devices can't keep up with it. I run into that situation on the touchscreens when recording my walkaround videos. Thank you for watching

Just starting to look.that LX would sure get paid off faster.if i got something between the LX and touring ,I would kick myself and always think " i should of got the touring". I have to pay $1,500 for LX AWD but still $8,500. lower than touring.i will probably think LX is better choice once start paying bills

This is a hard one to give advise on because these are way to different trims. Comparing the (LX) base trim with the highest trim. Have you explored the CRV Special Edition or EX? something in the middle with nice features that has a huge impact on your daily experience without hurting the financial goals as the touring trim.
