I love watching people get bit by the dirt scoot bug. You've got it and you've got it bad haha! On a side note, name of the game is to keep your feet on the pegs. Also properly weighting the pegs makes turns a million times easier and more comfortable. Did you check out the channel I linked you a few videos ago?

Trails look pretty easy, looking to bring my son, he is new to riding and I am looking at simple trails like this. stuff I ride is GNCC practice, I don't want to scare him off of riding with that stuff.

So as a Old Fart getting back into dirt I know your pain, I recently got a new Honda and as a old rider I realized about how many important things I never paid attention to when I was younger. Tire pressure on trails with rocks and logs they say to run 15 to 16.5 pounds to protect these new style weak rims and also helps to keep from puncturing the tire. I was running 12 pounds till last weekend and it was a hard hit to the rim that sounded like it broke my spokes and I changed it to 15.5 to be middle of the road. 2nd thing I never paid attention to was the sag of the bike and now that I'm 200 pounds and old enough to know it's important to have it done eight the pros I watch and material I read says that you don't want any more than 4 inch difference from static to compressed measurement. Both these are easy to fix and totally changed how my bike rides and handles rough terrain to jumps. I'm new to following you but look forward to watching your videos. I so wished I still lived in 606 because like I stated last week, we would get to the woods and enjoy some old farts acting like young studs again lol. Keep up the great videos and maybe I can plan a road trip to visit the family and go rip up some trails with you this summer. If your game on it drop me a comment and we can try and make it happen. I hate riding alone due to if I wreck or get hurt no telling how long you could lay there without help or being found. Be safe and keep the rubber side down Ole son.

Some protective gear would be wise! At the bare minimum, helmet, gloves, goggles, Long sleeve shirt, long pants, and boots.
