i went over to the Honda shop today and looked at the CRF250L this will be my next bike! I now have a Suzuki DR250 it's a nice bike but it's almost 20 years old.

Nice informative video. I am sure you have seen the FMF pipe and fuel controller mod. Adds around 6hp mostly low and medium, which is alot when your only starting with 18hp, plus takes 10lbs off bike. May be a issue with your side bags though. Plus it cost close to $800.

@harleyhillbilly; I think you'll like the CRF250L. It's benefits are fuel injection, 6 speeds, and liquid cooling. It is heavier, of course, but with a little work can be a really nice dirt bike.

Yea I have looked at a few bikes in that range and I like the Honda the best plus you can't go wrong with a Honda! My DR is a six speed I really like that about it but it don't have any low end power I have to get the RPM's up just to get up a trail.

very nice bike. the seat sure looks comfortable.
@bobvog712310 жыл бұрын
Hi Trent, yes, the seat is more comfortable because it is wider than the stock seat. I don't think about it anymore, just ride and enjoy.

Hey Bob, thanks for the videos. I'm seriously considering a CRF250 and they have been very useful.

Hi Xeaphod, I bought the saddle bags from Mountain Motor Sports in Ontario, CA.

@poseidon: The Seat Concepts seat is wider, so its more comfortable because you have a larger seating area. It may be softer than the stock seat by a little. I think its a good mod, and an improvement over the stock seat for longer rides.

@imbobby; Yes, the FMF and Fuel controller would definitely help performance a lot. I haven't done it because I don't want to make the bike louder, and for me it has enough power, since I'm mostly just doing easy trail riding. And, as you mentioned, the FMF might be too hot for the saddle bags.

wow, sorry i just discovered this v-log. great information for CRF 250L owners. really thinking about changing to a 13 tooth, on the trail just need a little more low end. and a with a 30" inseam, an inch lower in the saddle would be a help. (i also swapped out the OEM setup for a lowered ride...hate to give up the clearance, but overall, a good tradeoff for me.) thanks!!!

Nice review, and nice mods. I really like the looks of the Mojavi saddlebags. My only issue with them is price. Whenever I consider luggage I can't help but think in terms of price per liter of storage space. Nice though :-)

I'm 5'7" and the bike was tall for me without the lowering link. You should go sit on one at the dealer.

Guess I don't understand why anyone'd want such ahard thin seat! It will HURT to ride it very far... if it was me, i'd of modified the seat by adding MORE padding in front & back so it "hugs" ur body & feels GOOD to ride. That's what I do to mine in addition to reupholstering it in soft black lambskin leather... Feels AWESOME to sink into it n ride (hugs in all the right places...almost better than sex hahahaa)...I would NOT of made it thinner & harder,,,but,,,it's ur bike! Other than the seat, nice mods, sweet bike, Dude! I'm jealous! ;) Now set the camera down nd throw a leg over it & give us a startup vid so we can hear it run! ;)

Nice vid. Question-how much did you cut off the kickstand. I too had to use a Kouba link but i also installed 17" Warp 9 wheels. Between the Kouba and the SM wheels my thought is cutting 1&1/4" off the kickstand.
@bobvog71237 жыл бұрын
I cut off about an inch.

What's your height because I'm 5'2 and I'm concerned if I could reach the ground?
