You gotta love honda reliability! For me they've always been the cheapest bike to own long term. My current crf 450r is at 330 hours, I've been throwing a piston in every 100 hours as preventative maintenane other than that the bikes been faultless. I haven't had to adjust valves since new.

Would you say the triple clamps, stabilizer, and flex bars is something needed for "A" class riders and up or would a "novice, C class" guy benefit or need these upgrades also?

I looked at your videos and I'd say out east you wouldn't want a steering stabilizer. Your speed is way different than Trevor's. I really like my Flex bars. Are your arms or hands getting sore while riding?

@@speedtoad6167 No, i dont get arm pump or anything. im pretty comfortable on my bike. My "speed" is def not even close...lol. i was more or less just curious about the honda specifically, id like a 4t bike to add to the fleet and i have always liked Honda but having to add those parts to get the comfort puts it in KTM territory price wise, id rather stay Jap for a 4t.

Riders of any skill level could benefit from these modifications. The Flexx bars in particular are more of a comfort item, whereas the triple clamps and stabilizer are more to change the handling characteristic of the bike. If you're riding out east, they may not be as prevelant as they are here on the west coast. We really enjoyed this bike's handling in stock trim riding in the trees and singletrack and would lean more towards modifying the motor to be more off-road friendly (where the Rekluse clutch came into play).

We ran soft tops and medium fronts on this bike.

Would the RX be easier for a super slow vet to ride on an MX track than a standard 450R? Is the engine more user friendly and suspension softer?

Yes, the RX is slightly easier to ride engine wise and the suspension is softer than the 450R. The off-road race bikes from all of the OEMs are generally better on the MX track for slower riders than the standard MX models.

We really enjoyed this bike in the trees and single track with little modifications needed.

Lost me at Countershaft seal... My 22' FX350 has 105 hours on it, and nothing but oil changes so far. And that bike won a 24hours Ice race + a Hare-Scramble championship +++

I wonder if them putting in the oil filter wrong and frying the top end had something to do with the leak. Debris in oil. I have a 19 250rx with zero leaks or reliability issues of any kind. I just need more power lol.
