I'm in the middle of this operation, trying to put it all back together, taking a moment to chill, so here's somethings I've clocked. You don't have to take out the hidden starter motor bolt because it attaches only to the engine block (see frame18:30). It's much easier if you take out the rads, my aircon one was shot anyway. You don't have to split the bottom swivel joints as the two top bolts will release the drive shafts, but don't try to undo the abs sensors from the hub, just disconnect the cable from the chassis. Remove the long drive shaft from the engine block to facilitate reassembly. Remember its just a big motorbike!

Hi there. Anyone know if you can remove the CRV Series 2 gearbox without a car lift? Can you get enough height on jack stands? I need to change the clutch, but not sure I can get the clearance. Thanks, Richard

Yes have done it on chassis stands. You still need to drop the cross member on the awd .

The screw behind the starter does not need to be removed. It is not attached to the gearbox
