Work continues on changing the CT 110 electrics from 6 volts to 12 volts. The 12v electrical system is fitted & the conversion is completed. But is the conversion worth the time, effort & cost?
I've since learned the 6v coil would have worked.

I'm totally clueless with stuff like that, and I'm always in awe when I see someone like you that's knowledgeable. Great video mate! Keep 'em coming. Who knows... I might even learn something 🙂

Thanks Petros, I took the easiest route & swapped harnesses so no electrical head scratching was needed.

What an excellent conversation Darren, well done. I have an old 6v dax, I will be fitting a later 12v engine and loom to it. As you say it is so much more dependable on the 12v system.

Thanks John, I've just completed an 800km trip to Australia's most easterly mainland point & had to do over 10hrs in the dark. That would have been impossible with the old electrics. Electrics were spot on, no problems. Appreciate your kind words, Darren.

For long trips, you can modify your CDI harness. Then you can have a/c cdi , but if you have a problem, instant changing to 12v d/c cdi .

Have you done or know of what to do to use 6v headlight switch r/h on/off on an allways on 12 v light model with no switch? Keep up the great vids!! Well explained and presented every time!!

No I haven't done that, I just took the easy plug & play option. But I'm sure with looking at 6v & 12v wiring diagrams & nutting it out it should be possible. Thanks for your comment, greatly appreciated.
