Thanks for the great comment and sorry for not posting lately. I'm having issues with my GoPro chip downloading onto my Computer. I think I've got it figured out, but I've lost a lot of footage that I've shot in the last two weeks, so I may be doing a bunch of it over again. However, I took a ride today and it all downloaded on my computer okay, so tomorrow I'll be editing the footage and put it out. Hope you like all my stuff on here and when your bike shows up, let us know in a comment on how you like it.......

How do you like the VRM 022 tires now, and would you still put a 3.00 on the rear or 2.75 front and rear? Keep up the great videos!
@TeamDNFracing Жыл бұрын
After trying different brands of tires and different tread designs, we have settled in on the Vee Rubber VRM 022 tires as they last longer than the others, give good traction on pavement, the best traction off road and the cost is reasonable. I'm still running the 2.75 X 17 on the front, but will be going to a 3.00 X 17 on the front when my current tire wears out. On the rear I am now running a 3.25 X 17 and I like it better. A little wider tire and it gives pretty good traction off road. I think we will all be going to the bigger tires when our current ones wear out.....

Hi, please could you tell me what pressure you run your Vee Rubber tires at, front and back, for various conditions - tarmac unloaded and loaded (with camping gear) and off-road unloaded? I've put some on my CT125 and I either seem to have too much pressure, and a bumpy ride or am concerned I have too little when loaded up. I emailed Vee Rubber, got no reply.
@TeamDNFracing8 ай бұрын
No problem. Here is what we run for normal adventure rides without any loads on the bike but us. Frt. and Rear we would run 30 PSIG. We've since dropped that down to 25 PSIG because we run a 3.00 X 17 on the front and a 3.25 X 17 on the rear. Both tires are the same PSIG. When we do a trip that is mostly off road, we drop those pressures down to 20 PSIG front and rear. If I were to load the bike for a trip, I'd still leave them the same on both types of terrain, off road and pavement. These bikes don't like going fast off road and are not a rocket ship on pavement, so really no reason to be putting your pressures down real low. Now, on my WR, I'll put my knobs down to 10 PSIG front and rear, because I have rim locks on my knobbies. For my all terrain tires, I run them at 20 PSIG either on pavement or off road. Hope this helps you: Just a little more info: PSIG = Pounds per Square Inch Gauged. PSI = Pounds per Square Inch. With the 275 X 17 tires on the front and back, still no need to run anything over 30 PSIG, but it definitely helps if you drop them down to 20 PSIG for off road.....

I've done a video where I took the new tires up in the mountains for a 225 Kilometer trip. I had this one really steep single track climb with really loose dirt and rocks on it. The bike and tires handled it with a breeze. The Big Bore Kit makes this bike come alive and with good tires on it, the bike handles most situations very well........

Hey Eddie, have you had any trouble with the ABS fault light when running a 13 tooth front sprocket? Off-road I don't, because of the occasional tire spin (I'm guessing), but on the highway, every 10 miles my fault light comes on and I have to reset it by turning off the key. I wrote to Opmid (makers of that awesome speedometer/tachometer) and asked them if the setting adjustments on their Speedometer (they call it a "Multimeter") would compensate for that. They said it would only if you don't have ABS. With ABS, they said, even 1 tooth difference in front sprocket would make an error. And that you need a speed compensator to adjust the difference out. (they are coming out with their own in March called Dr.Speed). They said that after you correct the speedometer with the speed compensator, then the gear indicator would be off, and that can be corrected with the settings in their Speedometer/multimeter.
@TeamDNFracing3 жыл бұрын
I had it start flashing on me one time when I was running the 13T at high speeds coming off the mountains. Didn't know what was wrong, pulled over and shut off the key and then back on to restart and it was just fine. Haven't run the 13T sprocket much since then and not at high speeds either. It makes sense that messing with the sprockets can mess up the ABS though. Keep me informed on what you find out about it as I'm thinking about going with a little larger rear sprocket for the mountain trips. Still lugs down on a couple of the really steep roads, not bad like before, but I'd still like to be able to run up them in second without changing the front sprocket......
@spydie3 жыл бұрын
You realize it makes no difference if you change rear sprocket or front sprocket, the change in gearing will affect the ABS the same way. I went back to the 14t until I can get a compensator. I hate these electronic bikes. Give me a front wheel driven analog speedometer any day. I’ll keep you updated

@@spydie I'd just as soon they not put the digital speedo on it either. But hey, we're just the people who have to ride these bikes and not the ones who design them........
@spydie3 жыл бұрын
@@TeamDNFracing I'm sure you meant digital speedometer, but I knew what you meant! LOL. Yes, we are the test-dummies! The guys that design these things never ride them. It seems that change is not always a step forward. For instance, the way the plastic came off the old bikes was so simple. Screw through plastic into metal. Now they have such complicated ways to take them apart. You take out all the screws, then you have to figure out all the snaps/locks/ and sliding tabs to disassemble the damned thing. It's actually disgusting when you want to work on them, compared to the old ones.
