Hey everyone! Let's go over the Ameripol Inc. Plexiglass Targa Top. The inside and outside and swapping over some panels from my OEM targa from Honda. I also have some information regarding the future of these parts.

Melrose T-Top International is an authorised GM aftermarket accessories retailer and manufacturer (but not owned by GM). Producing Honda Del Sol roofs is not aligned with their main business and image of being a GM aligned entity. Upon take over they asked existing customers (for transition) to contact them just to honor the outstanding orders "if any". Melrose T-Top saying they made a mold and it didn't work and did't fit etc is likely a run around story given to would be customers ordering (after honoring the outstanding orders). This is to keep their image as a GM only aftermarket accessories retailer and fulfill the outstanding orders legally and silently close down the Honda Del Sol roofs. Hard to believe they had been fulfilling several orders up to the last year and the molds are defective? Since that was their story, upon giving you the rights to make it, without a doubt they likely held on to the original good molds to be consistent with their story or damaged them prior to shipping or shipped you the so called "faulty" (prototype) molds they got their hands on and leave you to fend for yourself in redeveloping these roofs from scratch. Good Luck and hope you can develop them for the Honda Del Sol community.

Old Sols I have an ameripol top and at the corners the glass is peeling off the frame. Any ideas what to use to glue it back down ???

@@gplock1626 I would try to disassemble completely where the glue joint is, as if it is coming off at the end, it will no doubt come undone everywhere else. I would then remove as much of the old glue as possible. Then use the glue for the windscreen (flexible, heat resistant, water resistant and extremely durable).

Brad The Dad uhhhhhh not yet man - we’re working on them in our free time - not rushing them - tweaking, shaping, molding .... messing around with it until we get something perfect. Every-time we do something it costs us money so it’s a slow process but we’re working on it.
