Honda Element Door Window Visor full install

In this video we show how to install the OEM Honda Access Door Visors onto our shop Honda Element. Fairly easy to install, especially if you ask Honda for the instructions. Shouldn't take more than 15-20 minutes total to do the install.

I just bought a set of oem window visors to replace my faded old oem visors.

I want to remove a set of door visors (along with the hood rock guard) before I sell my Element. I've seen the notes on another comment about removing the glue. Where can I find a roll of adhesive to use to re-install them? What kind of adhesive? I'm assuming it's a weather proof type adhesive.

3M makes a good two sided tape that I would use if I was reinstalling a set of used visors.

And my problem is getting the glue from the original visor off.

As in you've already removed your old visors and just need to get the glue off, or your old visors won't come off because the glue is so strong?

@@classicautomotivenc you can get the old visors off with a plastic putty knife going under the visor, but getting the rest of that glue off is a pain, i am repainting my element before I install the new visors but still have to get the old glue off first.

@@jaguars08221 I'd try alcohol first, but perhaps brake parts cleaner and a razor blade would take the rest of the residue off. That is where I would start. Acetone might be a bit strong but it would as well.

@@classicautomotivenc yea I tried goo gone and it did nothing. I might try brake parts cleaner but after being baked on in the Florida sun for 16 years I might have to get more aggressive with it since I’m willing to repaint anyway.

@@jaguars08221 yeah I’d try brake parts cleaner and a razor blade. It won’t wipe off but maybe you can limber it up enough for the razor blade to separate it
