I found this video to show clear, step by step instructions on how to replace your front window regulator on a Honda Element. Tools need: 3/8" ratchet and 10mm socket, flat blade screw driver, phillips head screw driver. There is nothing complicated. This video relieved all of my worries of "what am I gonna do because my window fell down inside the door" Thank you for taking the time to make this awesome tutorial.

The regulator I bought doesn't line up on the bottom where the glass sits. Watched about 5 different videos and yours was the best. No stupid music, more intricate detailed info with tools and methods which is a plus. My regulator track bar didn't line up so your video helped out on letting me know to plug in and turn on to move it up to the holes to attach to the window. I watch alo of how to videos and you have a tallent in it😊

I replaced this unit on my Element today and watched four videos just to make sure I knew what I was doing. DIYHonda was the best. Everybody else totally missed the step to plug in, power up.. then position the window holes, unplug, bolt the window in, secure the door panel pieces and relax. Thank you DIYHonda!

Fixed the drivers side window regulator today. I watched about three videos before finding yours. Glad I kept searching, since yours was the best for my situation. All I had to do was just follow your lead. Many thanks! FYI: Dealer quoted $500. Thanks to you and others like you, it ended up only costing about $50 in parts.

Life saver! I was halfway through a 10 hour road trip when my motor decided to give out...while the the window was ALL the way down. No way I could drive 5 hours in that condition. Thankfully, I was parked at a Flying J so I was able to buy all the necessary tools inside. "Fixed" the window right beside the gas pumps as the sun went down. And by fixed I mean gorilla taped to the frame haha. But hey, at least I don't have to worry about things flying in my window while I'm driving. Can't thank you enough for this excellent tutorial. Alrighty, time to get back on the road. Wish me luck! PS - I am not handy at all. This tutorial was just THAT good :)

This should be the gold standard for tutorial repair videos! Thank you so much! If you need to pick up this part locally, I used a Dorman Window Regulator #748-132 (for the passengers side, #748-131 for the drivers). Hopefully your window regulator fails on a sunny day. ;)

I had to replace this regulator about 3 years ago so I needed a refresher course. Yours is excellent. My wife and I did the repair this morning and we're still speaking. We work differently in that she likes to use a ramrod to put things together and I'm more a look at the parts king of guy and carefully then put them together without force. Of course on occasion some force is needed. I'm always amazed how much design and engineering goes into car manufacturing to make things fit together in such a compact package. I assumed the motor in the regulator was bad not the fact the cable had failed. Again thank you.
