Hello sir, i recently purchased VX MT variant of Elevate but i have a technical problem with it , the hill hold assist does not seem to be working, the manual variant is supposed to have Hill hold assist right?

Well, I believe this feature is provided in the variant mentioned by you. However, it would be better if you visit the dealership and confirm from them and get it checked if there is any doubt.

Where is ceremic coating? They did wax?

Yes. The ceramic coating is only done initially, the first time, and then this check after 6 months includes this rubbing and wax only. The ceramic coating is not done again at this time of checking for repairs, only the rubbing and wax gets done on the full car. That's what is done here by 3M team. If they are not doing it right, you can tell me what is lacking so that I can get more knowledge about it and ask the same to their representatives :)

@@mubaraksandhu was this done as per Honda ceremic coating package.? If Yes, its utter bullshit they have done. Ceremic coating should be repaired with single coat(or as per the package no of coats) of ceremic coating.

@@gajendrakumar8672 Yes, Honda has tied up with 3M company, this is all done as per the terms of 3M only, so I never had any doubt. Ceramic coating was done last year when I purchased the car, and the package included these 2 check ups after 6 months each. This is what they call check up, where they do the rubbing and then apply wax for shine. Do let me know what exactly is the process that must be followed, and that they are not doing, I will definitely follow up for the same.

@@mubaraksandhu checkup means what? How do they know if ceremic coating is dameged or not. As far as I know, they were charging 30k for this package, outside market its available for 15k for 2yrs in costly city like Bengaluru. You should tell them, why wax coating and not coat of ceremic for which you have paid money. Wax is very cheap. When I talked to car laundry(ceremic coating service providor), they told they will to top up coat of ceremic only. Check in market, take this cheating to Honda. You paid money for ceremic coating not for wax coating. Checking the ceremic coat is wag term and does not actually explain anything.

@@gajendrakumar8672 Ceramic coat doesn't get damaged in the sense that it can be recoated again. Ceramic coating has been done when I purchased the car. Thereafter, if a major dent or piercing of paint/body takes place, ceramic coat cannot be done as a part of the package then. So, this routine check as a part of the package just comes up as a parameter to fill the minor scratches/swirl marks that come up on the vehicle with time. Minor nail scratches that occur while opening the doors, swirl marks that occur while cleaning the car, etc., such minor scratches get filled/covered with compound rubbing, and then the wax gives extra shine to the vehicle. So, the ceramic coat which is already there, gets kind of renewed with this work, the scratches are gone and the shine comes back, just as it looks after fresh ceramic coating. We were already told about this 6 months check-up, we were never made false promises about doing the whole coating again, so in those terms I am not really disappointed as there were no false commitments. However, still, if something is not being done right, then I would definitely ask about the same to their team and see how they respond👍

Thanks for this informative video! Do you recommend doing ceramic coating for new car? Does it help in minimising scratches while keeping the original paint intact?

Hi, I got it done because I bought dark color. Even minor scratches and swirl marks are easily visible on such dark colors, the ceramic coat brings more shine to the vehicle and protects from such minor scratches to go on the paint/body of the vehicle. The dust also does not settle on the body of vehicle as much as it does on normal paint, because of the smoothness that ceramic coat gives. However, it is not something that we cannot live without, so it is not at all a must-have for the car :)
