Hey, Ray! I like to wash out the air filters with warm, soapy water, rinse really well, squeeze out the excess and put them either on the boiler or in front of a portable electric heater (depending on the season) overnight to dry out really well. As for spark plugs, good ones last for decades so I only replace if they fail. Clean up the threads and terminals on the wire wheel, check the gap, hit the threads with a couple drops of motor oil, hit the plug with a little dielectric/silicone grease on the top and and reinstall.

Those are great ideas. I find I will usually just replace them with new in case they are on the old side of life. Instead of comparing resistance value to heat range etc. or missing a crack in the ceramic. I think I’m saying I’m lazy. lol!

Great tips for draining and refilling the oil! I’d probably add on a section of smaller hose to the that first extractor so you can do it all with the same tool.
