Great video showing how these machines really work well at high output . Would like to see another video like this one again soon ! 👍

I guess this is why Honda is considered the gold standard in generators, you can overload them for short periods like when your air conditioner kicks in where most tests show the Yamaha will overload and I am a Yamaha generator fan.

Thank you for performing these tests, and especially for showing the output waveform on an oscilloscope! I was hoping to find such a video and you delivered! Thank you!

This is precisely something that I was planning to do, but now I don't need to. Well done. Thanks!

Very impressive! I have it’s older sibling , the eu2000i and love it.

This is the best video for a loading test on the Honda EU2000i and the EU2200i I have seen. I have quite a while for this. Thank you. I cannot the THD percentage on any site, do you happen to have any data? A friend of mine wants to buy one to power part of his HAM radio.

Amazing test with very clear technical data. Thank you.

That was very impressing with the Honda EU2200 ;) I did a similar test with a brand new A-I Power SC2300i powered by Yamaha and it was a bit disappointing that it never went to the 2300w claim, the max wattage it reaches was 1848 watts every time I tried exceeding this the voltage dropped from 118v to 92v, I tried over and over again the same result the generator never went overload just kept running with a lower voltage. Also performed the same test with a 4 year old generator a Ryobi RYi2200 and had similar results that it never reached the claimed 2200 watts it's max was 1875 watts at 115v before going to overload, the voltage on the Ryobi never dropped like on the A-I Power.

How is the jds scope that you are using?

Prety good for the price.

How are things in D.C. with the virus? Do you still have utilities?
@VladFredK4 жыл бұрын
yes we have utilities, you don't?

@@VladFredK Yes, but about six weeks about you could not find a generator in town. They were all sold.

This is a silly question I can’t find the answer to, but why is the generator producing 125 volts instead of 120?
@VladFredK5 жыл бұрын
The voltage will go down under load

I'm good, and you? What is THD percentage ?
@TheMickeymental4 жыл бұрын
@@VladFredK It is a distortion in a signal. In this I think it is visible in the waveform on the oscilloscope. Some oscilloscopes allow you to zoom in on chosen sections of a waveform for examination. My Honda Eu2200i has a new recall this is the second one. It is not a good time for this to happen.

@@TheMickeymental All I can say is the Honda inverters have the bet sine wave from all inverters.
@dominodoggy14 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the video, that was very informative. I’m actually quite impressed with that waveform. It got a little squirrelly when you ramped up to 1500 from 0, but that is to be expected. I have a question for you - next rainy day can you set up again and turn ECO MODE OFF so the generator is already up to speed and try the 0-1500W test again and see if the waveform deforms the same as if the engine has to spool up speed quickly? Thanks! Rainy days are awesome!
@VladFredK4 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't worry about little distortion for second or two in sine wave. This gen has the best inverter you can find. I wish I can take it out and use it as an inverter for my solar system.
@dominodoggy14 жыл бұрын
Vlad Fred Kovac Now that does sound like an interesting project - if one could tap into the inverter system of the EU2200i with a separate battery. Without running the engine, for a hybrid gas-electric inverter system! That would indeed be interesting.
