Thanks again Mitch, this looks very similar to my sons SH300i which the clutch bell is rubbing against the cover, so will be taking it apart very soon to sort out. Your videos are always brilliant and make the average scooter Dad’s life much easier 👍. N.B. I always draw a rough outline of the cover etc on a piece of cardboard and push each bolt through in the relevant place, always handy if you can’t sort out straight away and have to come back to it a few days later due to weather or extra parts etc.

Great content there bud,as of Saturday 7-13-24 I recently purchased a new project moped for me to wrench on and the project is a 2006 Honda Metropolitan 50cc moped that has been sitting 15+ years and is in great condition minus the luggage rack but the headlight,brake light,turn signals,horn,speedometer work and she has 1,371 miles on it,it was owned by a friends father in law and he might have passed away so it sat in a barn so I’ve been evaluating what it needs to revive it and I spun the engine over and it has great compression,spark but terrible old fuel in it so I think it just needs a fuel tank flush,new gas and oil change once it’s running and driven a short shakedown lap,luckily this is a 4 stroke motor and takes 10w-40 oil and I happen to have a unused quart laying around so wish me luck with my new project

Thank you! Congratulations on purchasing a scooter! Make sure to replace the fuel pump and fuel filter first before pouring in new gas. If you clean the carburetor, you don’t want old, bad gas from the pump and filter getting into the carburetor and clogging up the jets. I learned this lesson from my Ruckus video, haha. Also, remember, it's a scooter, not a moped! 😉

@@MitchsScooterStuff I’ll do my best to revive it by using your tips,it ran briefly on starting fluid but I didn’t run it long,I’m going to clean up the fuel lines,tank and sending unit before I put new fuel in, I also rebuilt the carburetor by cleaning up the jets and float ect,she’s a beauty and only paid $300 dollars for the scooter and I can’t wait to make a follow up video of it running and driving

new skill learned to install easily the belt on the clutch! i used to put a screwdriver with a rubber sleeve between plates but using hand and the foot looks like a lot easier!

Hey, you mean steering head bearing ? I don't have video on burgman yet but I have video on Vespa LX front fork removal and installation, maybe that gives you idea what it looks like?

Try a piece of old steel closet rod, or 3/4" copper pipe.

it was a piece of stainless steel pipe I cut off on a project... just use any pipe will work :) like a guy just commented to you too

Much heathier to use YOUR OWN weight to lock/unlock heavy bolts, instead of, potentially, overloading + damaging your back - pushing from down - up !!!

the plastics and variator case looks really in bad shape. My sh300 is 80000km and 13 years and looks like new in comparison
@Serpico11524 ай бұрын
It's most likely caused by the intense sun UV's & Maui salt air atmosphere.🤔
