I think I have to change mine. The bike is a 2010 that I got used. 3 times while riding, with enough fuel, the bike bogged down and stuttered. The more I gave it gas, it lost power and cut off. After sitting for a while it ran fine after each episode. It sounds like it’s the issue with the filter being in the old configuration. What do you think? I’m wondering if all the newly manufactured pumps have the vertical filter. I don’t want to pick up one that’s for a 2010 and it’s still the old configuration.

It very much could be being a 2010 and not knowing how the bike was ridin before you, I’m fairly confident that any purchase of a fuel filter will be the proper one. I got mine from partszilla.com you can check the box and make sure it’s the right one before any install

Such a big pump for 3gal of fuel ,my goldwing isn't 2/3 that size
