I haven't watched the whole video but the viewers should know that you would also disconnect the main circuit breaker at the breaker box in the event of a real power outage, before using a generator. The reason? To protect power company employees and linemen from you back-powering the power lines with your home generator. Safety first.

I have trouble getting spark plug out to change. Does this engine have a 5/8 spark plug?

Hi, thanks for the question. No, it is 13/16. Actually, it seems pretty straight forward to get at. The cable comes off easily on mine. Good luck with the spark plug change.

Interesting....it says maximum temperature 104 F. Good to know. It also says do not operate in rain or snow. Ah hah. So what if your power goes out in winter......will this start in sub zero temperatures Fahrenheit ? And if it does start in sub zero F what about snow? What good is this thing if it won't work for exactly what you bought it for?

If reliability is important to you get rid of the CGFI outlets.
@rael5469 Жыл бұрын
Why?
@cayrick Жыл бұрын
@@rael5469 My gen is in an enclosure for emergency power outages. The fan to cool the compartment is plugged into one of the two GFI 110 v. outlets. The generator connects to a backup battery system (inverter/charger) through a transfer switch in the event of extended outages where the batteries are no longer able to supply power.the generartor feeds into the inverter/charger instead of utility power. In my case during a recent extended outage the GFI's tripped while unattended and the cooling fan stopped. Fortunately I heard the difference in sound and intervened. The next day I switched them out for regular outlets. Can you imagine if a generator with GFI outlets was connected to a critical piece of medical equipment in a hospital?
