ive had two goldwings. A 1976 and a 1978. I liked the removable fairing. Both bikes ran extremely well with each capable of exceeding 150 mph. They both had an issue with the bike frame or suspension flexing sometimes if you hit a dip in the road while taking a curve at higher speeds. Both would smoke the rear tire and pull the front wheel when hitting second gear under full throttle acceleration. Great bikes. Still have the 78 though it needs restored.

There’s no such thing as a 2011 Honda Goldwing. That’s the year Honda moved their production back to Japan from the US. they did not produce a Goldwing in that year.

There was no 2011 Goldwing. Thats when Honda moved its production from Marysville Ohio to Japan. Other than that, very good video. Thanks. I do like the color you have for the 2011. That would be a rare bike to have.

I remember when I went our dealerships open house in 1975 and they had the Goldwing on display with Honda reps their, They ask someone for a nickel and put it on the valve cover and started the bike and cracked the throttle and the nickel didn’t move ... no vibration Wow

I read a story years ago about someone balancing a nickel on the handlebars of a Harley Sport twin and the nickel didn't fall while it was running.

I heard this legend. So last year I tried it on the engine cover of my 36 year old 1200. Coin didn't move, even when throttle revved a bit. Awesome bikes.

1988 did not have a topcase windwing and a ventilation hole under the engine.the motorcycle fairing was monochromatic (just golden color without bottom metal parts),the rear footboard was fixed, not positioning.... and since 91 the front chrome was solid without a bottom grid...

Where is the GL1100? I know they exist as there is one residing in my garage. It is a 1983 model finished in wineberry red, and only 4000 miles on the odometer. The 1100 is parked next to my 2019 GL1800 DCT Tour Goldwing.

Good call on the picture being reversed. I don't think that it is upside down because of the "A", but once you mentioned the reversal, I noticed the "Gold Wing", "Interstate" and "1500" were also reversed.

There is no 2011 model year Goldwing. Honda took that year off to move Goldwing production back to Japan.

The 1980-1983 model years weren’t 1000, they were 1100. Also the 1987 should read the same as 1986, GL1200. Same thing with the 1995, it should read GL1500 not GL1000. And as previously mentioned, 2011 wasn’t a valid MY for Gold Wing. But 2015-2017 were, and they’re skipped over here. 30 seconds on Wikipedia should have made all this clear.
