2004 Honda Goldwing GL1800 with a custom built exhaust. Stock headers and O2's are all that is left that is original. From O2's it goes into 1 3/4" pipe and then into 2" with the addition of 4" baffle. The left side does have an additional bumpstop for the centerstand.
This is the same exhaust as the previous straight pipe video with the addition of the baffle. The baffle is easily removed or installed with a single 1/4" nut and bolt. The baffle mellows the tone a bit, lowers the volume slightly and regains lost back pressure, thus bringing back some lost torque from straight pipes. The front heat shields can also be reinstalled or left off. I keep them off to save weight, looks more sporty and allows more foot clearance for controls. This is how "I" run the bikes exhaust on a daily basis.
Idle: 70db
Cruise: 86db
Redline(2850rpm): 110db

i wonder if you merged the pipes it would so more porche? as i am thinking of a mid engined 90s hatchback with one of these it has enough power and tquork i just need to do all the crazy enginering. well its either this or a Yamaha v max or super maby bmw k1600. or a more simple smartcar rearsubframe mashup in the 90s hatchback.

Did you add a tuner? I want to do a cat delete. Should I get a tuner, and is there one that you recommend?

What baffles did you use and is that a stock size pips you used i like the sound

I used 2" pipes out the back. Baffles are common 4 inch baffles for 2 inch pipe. All custom built, only stock headers are original.

I'm wondering how it affected power in all rev scale and fuel consumption?

Stable as stock. The baffles retain enough back pressure while having a slightly higher flow rate. Fuel consumption is the same as well. It is still mapped as stock, so all a/f rates are the same. The O2 keeps the a/f in stock parameters even with a slightly higher flow rate. Now if you where to get it remapped, you would typically increase fuel flow across the powerband and will in turn have a higher fuel consumption rate. If I where to pull the baffles and run it straight pipe, it will have no backpressure and I will lose a lot of tourqe from idle to 3/4 throttle.

what a shame when you have the best bike you can buy and try to make it sound like shit. most people who ride these noise makers try to bring the Wing down to there level. Never going to happen they are way above that
