I Bought this snowblower 2 years ago, I added 2 led lights a voltmeter, heated grips and an easy charge pigtail to the battery. This Machine is a beast, heavy powerful and with practice fantastic. It has one real flaw and it's really annoying. IF you are TALL and you adjust the auger height higher in order to clear or steer, it pivots the handlebars commensurately lower. This Machine is already built for a shorter person so when you pivot the front up ( which you need to in deep snow or ice to turn 180 you find your back bent over far more than you like. Fatigue creating. If you use it a lot like we need to, its a very obvious drawback. Having said that the power , reliability, controls, throw distance, traction all shine... Honda please make a bar riser kit.

Angel Erien Very nice, I also added the easy charge pigtail to the battery. We now have three of these units total. Two of them are 2016 models and one is a 2017 model. I totally agree with you, I am 6‘2“ and with snow boots on, definitely 6’3” and some taller handlebars would be a little nice.

Denis Gamache toro doesn’t make a 32 inch. Airens does but I was looking for a snowblower to last at least 20 years of commercial use and it was barely any more then an Airens and this machine offered more for me and you can’t kill a Honda Engine, they just run and run and run. I own many Honda power equipment engines and they are all top knoch dependability and can’t say enough good of them.

@djg10284 жыл бұрын
Theweeeone It would handle a steep driveway really good because of the tracks instead of tires and it would handle a gravel driveway especially well because it has a selector level so you can raise the deck a little bit off the ground so you are not discharging rocks and dirt etc.

Thanks for the videos - very helpful, as I'm considering purchasing new snow removal equipment. What's your opinion of purchasing a unit, such as this, that needs assembling? How difficult is it to get everything properly assembled to work to fullest capacity? How much adjusting to cables, engine, etc? I should add that we are in the "heavy Lake Effect snow area" of Western NY, below Buffalo. It's common to get two feet of snow with drifts. Is this still a unit that you would recommend?
@djg10286 жыл бұрын
MD Ceci Channel I’m near Albany NY and my local dealer All Seasons Equipment in Scotia NY assembled the unit as they do for all their customers so it was done by someone that does a lot of them. As far as quality, dependability and function, you can’t beat a Honda and this machine is a true beast and will always get the job done!

Kolon999 i’ve never used a three stage or had any experience with a three stage, however I’ve gone through some seriously big banks and snow banks at the end of the driveway and drifts etc. with this machine and it’s never backed down to any bank yet. I also give a lot of credit to Honda’s state of the art engines as they are just simply the best engines in any machine out there. This machine at 13hp has the power simply put.

I just bought this machine after my 20 year old Craftsman gave up. I used this Honda for the first time last night. There is so much I love about this machine but I am having one big issue and I thought I would see if you had a tip. When I turn the machine to go in the opposite direction, ideally I would like to pivot the cute at the same time so I can continue blowing the snow in the same direction without missing a step. I can't do this very efficiently (yet). I find it all a lot to manage in those moments. I have to either stop and let the chute finish pivoting or slow way down and still be pushing snow before the chute catches up to my ideal spot. I was used to pivoting with the old machine while cranking the chute around pretty fast and not slowing down. Do you have any thoughts on this? Thanks, Monica
@djg10287 жыл бұрын
Whippetfest I️ understand your point totally. I️ usually lock the left handle down I️ believe so it frees up my right hand to control the chute joystick and then I️ slow down the speed to then turn the chute when I️ turn.
@Whippetfest7 жыл бұрын
Thank you for such a speedy reply! At least I know I was onto what needed to be done so I'll concentrate on the slowing down the turn while turning the chute and master the whole process. Thank you!
@Whippetfest7 жыл бұрын
I went out for the second time with this snowblower. I didn't worry about needing to stop and wait to bring the chute around. I decided with the time saved of throwing the snow so much further and doing a different pattern of longer swipes instead of the way I had to do it with my old machine. This made tremendous difference. I finished in record time!! Can't wait for some serious snow. It also felt kind of effortless. The only thing I'm realizing is, when I back up, I need to lift the front, that would of made it easier had I known. But now I know... I also put skids on the front so when I come down It is where I want it. Protecting the machine. I have a gravel drive so it isn't predictable. Thanks for the videos!

Whippetfest glad to hear that and glad you enjoyed my videos. I’m looking forward to using my snowblower soon as well.

Turn and pivot at the same time or use the pivot time to plan your next move. I find I am constantly adjusting to get that snow exactly where I want it. Like that pinpoint ability. (I also have this model, love it)

The reason Honda snowblowers are better then literally all other snowblowers is because all other snowblowers are made by MTD. Even Ariens and Cub Cadet. Honda is the only brand by itself. I have owned TroyBilt, then Ariens and now Honda. All others are junk compared, no matter price or if they’re 2 or even 3 stages.

Can't that blower go any faster than that? Looks like you'll be there all day for that small driveway.
@djg10287 жыл бұрын
Peter Q Yes it can go faster then that, I wasn’t trying to go full speed as you want a snowblower to churn the snow. Just like when you see a huge snowblower on a tractor or DOT using a big truck mounted snowblower they go slow about 5 mph. And actually this right here is not a driveway it is on grass.
@lkurowic7 жыл бұрын
Believe it or not, snow is heavy. I'll walk slow and let the machine do the work any time.

How does it do with wet heavy snow? I'm considering getting that model except without the electric start.
@djg10287 жыл бұрын
Tim Knapp it does fine with wet snow. A lot of blowers can struggle with wet snow but this model is 13hp so a lot more then most blowers and as long as the cables are properly adjusted and everything is within spec the auger will have no issues handing pretty much anything. The ATD or deluxe model with the electric start is only about $200 more depending on the dealer but it also gives you the auger protection system should a solid object enter the auger housing it stops the auger before breaking anything and also the ATD model comes with an LED hour meter and a double articulated chute for more precise snow throwing ability so at least from my dealer it was worth the $200.

Toro used to make a 1332 snowblower,but now the biggest they make is a 1028,plus Toro discontinued making garden tractors,then to top it off,Wheelhorse is completely out of business.
@djg10285 жыл бұрын
4 gauge yeah, we used to have the Toro 32 inch before this. We had it for 20 years but we always had carburetor problems and leaked gas. For 2019 Toro brought the 32 back and now makes 2 different 32 inch snowblowers! They make a 1232 and a 1432 commercial model. Check them out on the Toro website. Although both are wheeled models and both do not have a hydrostatic transmission like the Honda so on the toros you have to pick what forward gear you want to be in and what reverse gear you want to be in. They have a great machine for the money but if all you want to do is blow snow and blow lots of snow nothing stops a Honda engine and beats the Honda design snowblower.
