I used to work at a local ski resort and ive used both the 928 and the 1132. The track drive system is worth its weight in gold. The 1132 never quit no matter how much snow i fed it. While the 928 was a bit on the small side for ski resort level snowfalls, it did its job without fail. The 1132 was an absolute beast!

I was lucky enough to purchase a well cared for 50 yr old AMF 2 stage snowblower. Not the prettiest thing, that my Kids call it the grey beast! Wow you go slow with this machine. Are you suppose to?? I typically put my HS1332 at 3/4 joystick speed
@S_man894 жыл бұрын
You have the bigger model so that’s why you can go faster. I do believe going slower may give the best results as in not too much snow intake for the machine to quickly move it away.

Pumpy....why did you use Honda vs 1026r?
@Pumpy2356 жыл бұрын
Hi Brian! I use the tracked Honda because the slope is too steep and at the bottom there is a huge ditch and the 138 road. On the videos we don't see the grade of the slope, roughly 15% (approx). Nobody with a tractor wants to do this hill... Chains on tractor is not a option because asphalt is very nice and not old. I live in Neuville, it's about 20 minutes west of Québec city, north of the St-Lawrence river. Thanks for watching and have a nice day! It's a pleasure to write to you! Where are you in PEI?
@briancampbell59446 жыл бұрын
I figured it was pretty steep for the tractor. I live in Charlottetown. I was in a new 1025r with Mauser cab the other day. Nice. Tell me, how do you have your rear hydraulics on the blower hooked up? The 1025r I was in had FASSE electric solenoid valves mounted outside the cab with two switches inside to operate chute rotation and spout deflection. Very nice set up. Have a great day. We travel the north shore to Ottawa every year.
@Pumpy2356 жыл бұрын
Hi Brian! By the way, my name is Kim and Pumpy235 is for youtube! Mauser cab are pretty nice, I saw one on youtube, wow! My 1026R have 4 hydraulics outlets at the rear: Red and blue for spout UP and DOWN, Yellow and black for the ROTATION of the chute. It's the joystick at the right of the seat who control everything: snowblower, mover and kwikbrush (rotating brush for springtime cleaning). I have only one hydraulic hose to move in front to make the mower go up and down. Sorry for my english, my wife is not here to correct my text before sending it to you, I hope you will understand what I want to explain... Have a nice day Brian!
@briancampbell59446 жыл бұрын
Nice to meet you Kim. Nothing wrong with your english. I wish I could speak French. I lived in Hull years ago with 3 French Canadians for one year but could not pick up your language. I can sort of read it but that is it. Is that a JD option to have 4 outlets at back? Most have only two.
@Pumpy2356 жыл бұрын
I don't remember when I bought the JD 1026R if the rear 4 outlets was a option... I don't think so, because the 1026R was the ''FULL EQUIPED MODEL'' with what I want to do with the tractor all year long. The JD 1023E was a less equiped and a motor of 23 hp, maybe only 2 outlets at the rear... I don't remember and I don't know the specs between the 2 models. Have a nice Brian!

The color or brand is in the eye of the beholder. Honda, Ariens and Toro commercial grade machines all get the job done. It really depends on what dealer is close by and has the best service. If one has to have a Honda, you will pay a premium price. Is it worth the extra cost? That is the big question. If you've got the bucks to spend, go for it. No matter what snow blowing machine you have, regular maintenance and ethanol free fuel is the key to a well running and long-lasting snow blower. I have added a link to a video. The color red gets the job done very well too. Enjoy. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p4LOooJpfJiWbpI
