The particular model in this video is the last of the line Honda DC5 on a 56 plate which was imported in 2018.
Lots of premium Toda & Mugen parts fitted all imported from Japan brand new by the previous owner. This is a properly modified example! The insurance valuation was set at £25,000.

Really good advice mate - Other things I've noticed to look out for - the steering rack sliders are prone to failing and have play in them - case of just moving the rack back and forwards with your hands, any play or movement means the slider has failed. The engine mounts are a common part to fail, if there is vibration through the steering wheel the chances are one of the mounts has failed, usually the drivers side or front mount

The seam sealant use on honda's from 2000 to 2005 was crap. The roof gutters on mine leaked like a sieve and it was the same for accords as well. The boot is so heavy and it splits the sealant at the hinges as well so check under the roofliner. The seams halfway down the tailgate gutters aren't too clever either. I agree with the video tho on the other usual spots.

This DC5 was given away in one of our competitions so can't say for certain whether her new owner stored or tracked her! Simon does take his DC5 out often though as the racer amongst us :-)

I have a very low mileage (44k Kms) dc5 which is very nearly immaculate underneath, one or two tiny tiny bits of surface rust, with full history. That gets driven hard. Just that I only use it as a fun weekend car hence the mileage. People always say " you should drive it more often..." But it's a third car... So it just use it when the weather's nice and it's kept in a heated garage
