Honda invited me to "Test" Drive the NEW 2022 Pioneer 1000 and... I SENT IT!

Honda invited me to come test drive the New 2022 Honda Pioneer 1000 model to experience some of their new changes! In this video we're going to take the New Honda Pioneer 1000-5 Trail Edition and Pioneer 1000-5 Forest Edition for some trail riding as well as hitting some mud pits and more at Ride Royal Blue and see what these utility vehicles are all about as I show you what happens at a Honda media / press ride event...

Honest question, I've seen your videos and I'm in the market for a 1000-5 or 1000-6. I don't have the opportunity to trail ride/test like you, so knowing this, would you consider the 1000-6 over the 1000-5 or is the short wheel base worth it? I don't have tight trails and typically field mow/plow with some recreational travel with the family.

100%! Listen to the man, Honda! But not on the Pioneer color part, we already have enough bikes with only one color option to choose from so we don't need to give them any ideas on not bringing new colors to the table for the Pioneer platform lol!

Yeah buddy, to say I was surprised to see the invite was an understatement lol! I've always wanted to attend an event like that but I'm a small fish so I didn't think I was remotely on their radar. Looking back, I wish I would have done some things differently and had better equipment etc for certain shots I wanted to get but hey, it was my first time and a massive learning experience for sure. Yessir, getting paired up with Steven was cool. He won it for us with backing up that little trailer like a champ! Haha I hear ya! That was one thing I kept thinking about was how they organize events like this and the manpower behind it all etc. It all went so smoothly, almost like they've done it once or twice lol! I'd love to shadow them to see just how much work goes on behind the scenes to pull it off. I can't say thanks enough for the kind and supportive words, really appreciate it! I'm trying my best to improve every step of the way, I look back at some of my stuff from a year ago and think "why did I put that out?" lol!

Can you tell us what you thought about the trail model you where in. Did the fox shocks make a noticeably difference? Vs the stock shocks

Thanks bud! ...and oh yeah, very lucky indeed! The demand is crazy for Pioneers and thanks to this rona mess, supply is definitely limited but hopefully we start to see a hint of normalcy on that front soon. How are you liking yours so far?

@@HondaProKevin its great! Really like the fox shocks especially for longer rides or for more spirited riding. Now I'm waiting on the Highlifter 2.5in lift that was on the trail edition vid you made. Hoping it fits with the factory wheels but if not I'll have to grab some MSA's then grabbing some 30' Frontline ACPs. Always love watching your vids man you make some awesome Honda content! 👍👍👍

Kevin, none of that appeals to me whatsoever. I have the 2022 Honda Pioneer Trail 1000-5 with some accessories. I paid too much money to destroy it on a trail! What happened to civilized trail riding. Thanks for the what not to do video.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. 99% of the trip was "civilized" trail riding but that's not something that entertains most people, so I threw in highlights of some of the action that took up the other 1% of the day.
