Without low range, these bikes are not much fun off road.

How sweet would that bike look completely blacked out, spokes and bolts Included. More HP and tourque would be very welcome. Honda can do this. The first generation VT 750 had 68 HP and 49 lb-ft. of torque. Needs a sixth gear, taller than the current fifth gear. Next all l.e.d. lights with a much brighter headlamp. An optional set of hard bags, batwing fairing and larger fuel tank. The aftermarket has nice, quality crash bars for the front, none for the rear. Owned an 08 Aero 750 for almost 6 years and loved it.

So this is what the Amazon RPS Hawk 250 came from. To be honest, I wish Honda would have made it a 250cc for around 3500-4000 US dollars.

Aftermarket C/C for it is available now. Got 2022 couple of weeks ago (bike not C/C - not yet) and after 1000km must say I would definitely preferred it in 3 cm taller version as the previous model. As well as longer suspension travel. Front brake is a really week point of it but the rear is surprisingly good. Why not the opposite Honda? Needs dual discs and 19” front wheel. Headlight is not the best either. So far great fuel economy (average of 3.3l/100km). Very easy to ride. Great on curvy roads as well as on gravel (that’s after installation of TCX80 front tire). Low centre of gravity. The frunk is so convenient - no more top box or side cases needed when running around town and riding some back roads. All together very good choice for the city (even with manual transmission, which my came with) and back roads. Pretty good behaviour on highway too. For longer touring I still prefer my Tracer 900 GT tough. It’s just a bit more powerful and faster😊.

I’m thinking of taking my bike license, I have been a car driver all my life, I’m used to a manual gear box, I’ve heard the rebel comes with an automatic transmission, I can change gear with my hand but would find changing with my foot problematic. I’m a bike newbie, so is it fully automatic and would it make a good beginner bike. Thanks in advance for any comment.
