The interior lights are also LED’s and omg they are stunning! Got 80mpg the other day, the electronics are just incredible. Look at what you get for circa 20 for an EX and compare the sheer technology in that car for the money in comparison to the Europeans. It’s staggering. That hybrid system just for starters in a car of this size with the magic seats and interior room - this is where Honda’s engineering really shines. Fully adaptive cruise control, lane trace, heated part leather seats and steering wheel, blind spot and a huge amount of safety kit all as standard. It really is fabulous.

We bought one 3 months ago. Here in Germany the Jazz is a bit expensive, but it is an absolutly great car! It is very quiet, even on the motorway you can very easily talk to some in on the backseat. The seating position and the quality of the seats is bliss, some friends tell me immediately when they get into the car. The Jazz is so fun to drive, because it has a linear feeling to the accelleration pedal, and very natural breaking, although it is recuparating, it couln't be easier to drive a car! It is completely hasselfree, so my mom could adopt to it very quickly al the age of 80. The safety and reliability ist perfect. The designers took care of so many little things we noticed while using it. For us, it is definetly the perfect car. It's more like a friend we get around with, not an A to B car, actually. I purchased one of these in September, the red colour which is absolutely gorgeous. I totally disagree with the reviewers verdict on the display in front of the driver, I think it’s great. The infotainment screen is also a huge improvement on previous Honda offerings and the touchscreen works very well. The fuel economy is excellent, I’ve had as much as 70 mpg and I’m averaging about 65 mpg. Acceleration is surprisingly good for a small car partly because there’s no gearbox. Overall it’s very easy to drive and the EX model comes with some very nice extras - no more worrying about what’s in the blind spot when I’m on a motorway. I considered an all electric vehicle but at the mo it’s just not a practical proposition, too few charging points. I hope that changes in the next few years but meanwhile a hybrid like the Jazz ticks all the boxes for me.

The Crosstar version is much more rugged SUV looking and is more visually appealing for general use. The standard model looks like a stylish but delicate city only car. @ubermod55642 жыл бұрын
The fact that the SUV version actually has a slightly smaller boot than the normal hybrid says everything about the true practicality of many SUVs. They might look rugged and trendy but not always worth the extra cash. At £2200 extra the SUV version really doesn't seem worth it in this case.

Interesting to see what Honda are into now in that segment; I used to have older Civics , in three different types over the years (Mk 7/8/9), and it’s good to see they’re still providing the ‘magic seat’ arrangement in the Jazz (they dropped it in the Civic later on). Thus the fuel tank etc must be under the front seats as before. Just a minor comment re ‘B’ mode around 7:20; if it’s almost identical to the Toyota hybrid, that will be there for engine braking on steep or long downhill stretches, when the regenerative braking will stop on account of the traction battery being full (quiet easy with a baby one!), in which case one's back to friction braking only. For the best fuel economy, avoid using it as much as possible.

I do like Japanese cars and this Honda looks better made than the new Yaris. In my opinion there are two issues with the new Jazz. The first is these small hybrids/electric cars are way too expensive (well over 20K for a decent spec'd car) and the second is the Honda Jazz especially in white is very bland. I would save up a bit more and buy a Lexus UX @ 29K. There is only about a 6K difference between a well spec'd Jazz and a "basic" Lexus UX. Well worth the extra. Thanks for a great review.

We test drove both and chose the Jazz. Had it for a few weeks now and love it. Indeed different cars for different purposes, the Yaris is more ‘sporty’ and seemed to have a bit sturdier drive. You don’t want adults in the back of the Yaris and not more luggage than a toothbrush. So for us the Jazz is more practical and it handles well in town, on B roads and on the motorway. We get better than 60mpg on a combined cycle with relatively large amounts of motorway driving. Over 65mpg in town and on B roads with the ‘gear’ selector in ‘B’.

The Jazz is a far nicer car to be in, more comfortable, feels higher quality compared to the Yaris, which for the price, feels very cheap, almost Suzuki Swift levels of hard plastics and very tinny bodywork. The four cylinder engine in the Jazz is also more refined when it kicks in, where as the usual three cylinder rumble and vibration can be felt in the Yaris. The Jazz is so versatile and spacious, I certainly wouldn’t want to sit in the back of the Yaris for long, very cramped and the rear doors don’t open that wide. Ultimately it comes down to what you want and need, but I would go with the Jazz over the Yaris.

Who needs all that storage - it’s a car?
@dickschuurman46843 жыл бұрын
My neighbors for example. Unfortunately, she has to use a (now folding) ♿wheelchair. Magic seats up, the wheelchair behind the front seats and the trunk remains fully available. Also, my bicycle 🚲 would not be on the roof or on a bicycle carrier on a towbar. Click out the front wheel and the bike fits there too. ✔️ And you never thought of a young family with 2 small children? Child safety seats in the back seat. Very easy to install, also because the doors open almost 90 degrees. The buggy under the Magic Seats (lots of space!). Shopping in the boot. Perfect small family car!

@@haziqehsan that's why from my perspective most people from any other country prefer the design except your country. You need learn from other country. The design looks elegance and minimal. Not all cars need to look aggressive

The hideous wheels fitted as standard do it no favours. The optional ones and the pearlescent white paint make it look pretty smart IMO.

Ugly design!! i love Jazz But this model very UGLY!!

I agree. It looks like it was designed by a comittee that disagreed how the end product should look like. I'd previously crossed it off my shorlist but the optics are beginning to grow on me... slowly.
