Apparently back in the day the Honda's used to come with a minimal amount of fish oil in the front shocks to keep them from rusting on the overseas trip from Japan. I'm not sure what they did for the brake calipers but it may be similar. Then the guys that put together the motorcycles in the shop would pump all the fluid out of them and replace it with new fluid when they were prepping out the bike for the showroom floor.

I appreciate this video. Picked up a v65 (1983) and it’s gonna need brake work along with a bunch of other work.

@@Charlies_Riding_Adventures I know what you mean! I just started working on my rear calipers that were seized. Quickest way I found to get them loose was to hook them up to the short brake line on the front coming off the master cylinder and pushing them out. I didn’t take mine off the handlebar like this guy did. For bleeding then I bought 3/16 lawn mower fuel line to put over the bleeder valve and make it drain into a water bottle. I have never worked on a bike so I’m figuring this stuff out as I go. Where are you located?
