I am friends with the Borders farmer lady who is responsible for the Wojtek statue in Princes Street in Embra where Wojtek lived with Polish troops on her Fathers' farm.. My Dad was part of the Polish forces in WW2 in Italy at the battle of Monte Cassino, and ended the war with The 1st Polish armoured division in North Germany. He knew of Wojtek and often took me to Edinburgh Zoo when I was very young to "meet" Wojtek . An fascinating story :)

It’s all about the Monkeys and the Bears ! Great story, I reckon it’s true. Glad you are enjoying life on the Monkey too. I find they are so infectious to ride, and I now begrudge spending fuel money on my bigger bikes. 😁👍

They're so cheap to run! I feel the same at times Karl.

Another grand wee trip on your wee Monkey Bike. Your trip with Mikey to the Alps will be something I'll really look forward to. Your Borders countryside is almost as good as our Highland, almost. Thanks for taking us along.

Thanks Hugh! Aye, it's nice around the borders and East Lothian and we don't get as many camper vans!

I hate camper vans! 😠 The NC500 has really brought problems.

Well I enjoyed the Wojtek story and bits to see. If your ever up Montrose way look for the statue of Bamse the dog. (Bamse seems to be Norwegian for bear)

I thought it was pronounced white adder reservoir. Every day's a school day. 👍😎
@yodagoat7 ай бұрын
We've always called it the "whitadder".

Cool video with the Monkey. Btw there's a typo in the title (solider, soldier)
