Michael Hepworth , thanks to you too buddy. The advice that Eksine gave about the Odyssey sliding doors, it worked perfectly. Read my other reply to Eksine. I am thankful for all the good advices from KZbin. It save us from getting ripped off by crooked repair shops and car dealers. Thanks for your input.

The steps for removing fuses, opening and closing the doors manually, piping the fuses back in and flipping the switch back to on really works for 2011 models too. Saved my brothers car with that one. Thanks a lot Steve!

The fuse wasn’t burnt out but just taking out 5 and 13 and then returning them made the difference. Thanks for the video

Thanks for this video! I was having problems with the door closing all the way and removing the kick plate and cleaning out the spring area (the dealer had WAY too much lubes in the tracks that was catching dirt) fixed the problem!

Eksine, I want to thank you very for video advice. Me left side, Odyssey 2000, sliding power door was not working for over a year now, but after watching your video I did exactly what you said. I removed the red 7.5 fuse and let it sit, while I was cleaning the van. After a few minutes I pop the fuse back in. I turned the switch on and pressed the open and close button but nothing happened, so I then manually opened and closed the door a couple of times, then I pressed the button and walla !!! It opened automatically. I opened and closed it a few times with the button to make sure it good. Hey, thanks a million buddy. Also thanks to KZbin we are able to fix a of things, rather than getting ripped off by crooked repair shops and car dealers. Thanks again buddy.

Our van's driver-side door wouldn't open (passenger's would). I checked all the door fuses (all good). Watched 3-4 videos and tried their suggestions. With the main switch off, I pulled fuse #13 (7.5A clock/backup) waited 30 sec and then replaced it. Turned on the main switch and the door worked. I wonder who found this out - pulling an "unrelated" fuse?

My '08 Odyssey was exhibiting similar symptoms: Upon manual unlock, door immediately locked itself; attempt to open door gave beep-beep-beep. Turn door switch on dashboard to "off", door could be opened & closed manually (with muscle), but still beep-beep-beep. However, the problem in my case was: missing plastic piece (on fuel door) that pushes down the sensor plunger/button. For 2005-2010 Odyssey, part number 74391-S0X-A01. Well under $10 to get part from Honda dealer. Whew.

So apparently this technique works for the 1999 model as well!! My best friend just bought used Odyssey today. Her 200+ lb grand daughter decided to man handle the passenger side automatic door to shut it (WOW BRUIT!) None the less, the "opened door" buzzer would NOT shut off and stayed buzzing the whole ride and she finally came back home, stopping by here first to let me know what she had done and asked for help. I looked up the issue and I got YOU!!.. You are AWESOME for sharing this knowledge... Thanks for making me her Hero!! lol

I just bought a used 2002 odyssey, you don't have to do all these steps. I just slid the switch for the sliding doors to off, then pulled fuse #13 on passenger fuse box for 30 seconds, the label is clock/ backup. put the fuse back in, slide your door switch back to ON position, boom it fixed it

eksine that’s what i just did and it’s fixed now, i just bought this van from a friend and it has that problem already, and that beeping sound is so annoying too. Thanks to this video and some other(the same) answers on google i just fixed mine.

Thanks for sharing this! Do you know how much of what you showed is the same for the more recent Odyssey models? I've an 2015 whose right sliding door likes to torment our family by starting to close, then stopping and reopening. Eventually after repeated attempts, the door does (eventually) close, but it's really annoying (and potentially dangerous). Suggestions?

I wonder if the spring arm you mentioned is getting stuck and forcing my door when it opens and closes. It makes a hard clunky sound as if it gets unstuck at the moment the electric connectors release

God bless you for your advice I'm actually doing it right now due to the fact that Honda dealer had the audacity to tell me that it was $1,000 to fix my door I told him the lies he told there is no way in heaven or Hades I will pay that kind of money to fix a door I can see if it was a transmission or an Jan I can maybe understand but for a door honda you tried it!!!

all I did to fix this was remove fuse 13, open and close the door manually and then replace the fuse. no need to turn the switch off or remove fuses 1 & 5.

Steve, My passenger-side door on 2000 Odyssey does not close all the way. That final pull in at the rear just doesn't happen. This is the same even when I do it manually. The side effect is that the dashboard light for the right rear door stays lit, the remote auto-lock won't work because it thinks the door is open, and the battery keeps getting drained. Is there something specific you can point me to to work on a solution?

Robin Liljenquist, are you talking about the switch for sliding door? Its mounted under the plastic foot board? I had both of those break off. I went to junk yard "pick a part". I think I was charged $3-$4 a piece.

Actually not much trouble if u maintain them. A problem is honda doesnt option their cars. If you got manual doors you got a base model like an lx and lose a lot of great features and besides if the power doors break they still work manually.
