Don't worry about being short. I'm 5'7", I was an Infantry soldier in the Army for 11 years. (out due to injuries). One thing I learned is that smaller guys could get through smaller spaces in urban combat, and move through the woods easier, Generally have less overuse injuries too. All that made me proud a smaller guy.

For a 2010 4wd Pilot with A/C running during the summer, we get 14/15 mpg around town (hilly local area). Great engineering; not so great gas mileage regretfully.

One question: How's the road insulation on this thing? From my experience, Hondas tend to cheap out on the insulation (perhaps in sake of fuel economy?) but this is a big, heavy and expensive SUV. Is it quiet?

I was very sceptic buying this car... maybe it doesn't look so great but this is a awesome car for big family. we have a 2 kids and 2 big dogs and we are able to fit our crew in this car with no problem. also it does't feel like you drive huge suv, it is pretty fast in corners. ohhh! gas milage is actually better then they say! 3rd row is full functional, not like toyota four runner (it was my 2nd choice).

Engine technology they are behind, Honda ignores it"s cars like Toyota, outdated old school engines while other car makers are getting efficient with more power. 3.5 L V6 with 250hp??? you gotta be kidding me.2.0l i4's get that amount of power, actually better power and torque as well.

@TheKidNamedRoland Idiot I meant turbocharged inline 4 cars offer more power and are fuel efficient. The truth is, The pilot is a great car but still is behind engine wise. Hyundai and chevy/caddy even ford offer 4cy turbos that tops over 260hp.

@select20 You are absolutely right! Smaller (or shorter would sound more tactful) men are more suitable for combat in moutains. Recent reports from Aghanistan (a failed, retarded country) suggests as well. It is also in Operetion Red Wing of Lone Survivor mentioned. So dont worry Ross.

Looks like a capable 'Campground Cruiser". Kind of a sterile looking soul-less interior though for my money. And don't get me started on it's lack of styling. Functional, yes. But then so is a refrigerator, but you won't catch me driving one. ;-) Just my opinion, so nobody get their knickers in a knot over this ok? Peace.

Honda really needs to hurry and bring Direct injection engines, I think it will boost hp output and torque since their competitors are already doing the same already outclassing in driving dynamics and refinement from DI. Hopefully the next generation gets a new engine which will increase fuel economy too
