Great power. Tracks perfectly straight. The built-in stereo sounds incredible! Lots of headroom. Super comfortable ride. Full power all the way around. You can pop the back hatch and have a covered party space. I've put 10,000 miles on it in the last 6 months. Changed the oil 3 times and flushed the transmission. I love my Honda Pilot. It's my baby. hey my dude! Thanks so much for watching and your comment! Trust me you made the right decision, keep the HONDA. The Tundra is a great truck, but they are costly and tough to find, the 4Runner is a sick Gas Guzzler and compared to the Pilot pretty small inside due to it's Truck Style frame chassis. In terms of cars, just drive it until you can't anymore, no point in trading a car that runs fine, plus right now the used care market is not the best and there is a huge shortage of cars.

so a couple of problems i run into with these as also the odyessys mainly with the 3.5 v6, one the air duct on them for the intake that links the air filter to the throttle body breaks alot during the cold months , thus causing unmetered air not calculated by the MAF sensor and end up with lower power and misfires. second is the purge control valve, they fail all the time with a p0458 to pop up. when i see that code, it is 100 percent of the time the purge control valve. and last and most expensive is the misfire these things will have with certain vins. it comes down to ultimately is the piston rings on cylinders 1-3 and sometimess 4 are fouling the spark plugs. honda did offer a warranty extension but is out of phase now. if you ever run into a misfire, take it to a honda dealership, i have seen honda take care of the whole bill or partially, just depends on the mood the person that is on the other line. after all of that, make sure that the airbag recall has been done. overall it is solid. the misfire is the most expensive repair that mighty run into.

@hybrid32494 Жыл бұрын
hello! The best advice I can give you is to make sure everything is functional, with such high mileage cars you're looking for "condition" and for the car to be drivable and safe. Generally a 180K motor is fine unless it burns oil, or has a head gasket leak. Highly recommend you get somebody who knows cars to take a look at it with you. I would go myself lol, but chances are we live too far away!

@hybrid324943 жыл бұрын
@@a.j.queenhealer4523 With an older car of 10+ years the main thing to look for is the CONDITION, you're mostly paying for the low miles at that point, so I'm sure the 09 pilot with 69K miles on it will not be cheap. Most important thing is to check the Carfax if you're buying it. Those cars typically have very high miles, so look at the typical signs of wear that will confirm it is in fact a low mileage car. Check the pedals for excess wear, check the steering wheels, the buttons, basically you're looking for signs of it being not a true low mileage car, which is what you're mostly paying for.

hey buddy! Sorry to hear that. This particular one is still on the road and kicking AS*. The pilot is notorious for slipping and non shifting transmissions. Which model year did you buy? Some are much better than others, and you really need to know how to test drive and look at a used car. I used to be a car dealer, so alot of what I did and showed is key stuff.

Hi bro I wanna to pay honda pilot 2008 with 200000 miles clean title. clean body .look like brand new runing gread. only 2 owners they asking $7600. I need your advice thank u
@hybrid324944 жыл бұрын
hey buddy! Those are great cars, but the $7,600 is alot for a 200K car. Plus it's the older generation model, you know. Id offer 5K and see what happens. 5K won't really piss the seller off and you're likely to make a deal around 6K.

Great video and info brother,my f350 has almost 200 thousand miles and runs awesome and I bought it used.
@hybrid324945 жыл бұрын
nice!! Ye, nothing to be scared of with high miles, it means the car was probably mostly highway driven and looked after because it had to be dependable daily. Plus you pay much less for a high Mileage car, what matters is condition and model year.

@@hybrid32494 we always buy second hand always had good luck with them,bought a new Chevy years back and had nothing but trouble with it never bought new again.
@hybrid324945 жыл бұрын
YEP, people think new is always guaranteed to be good, FALSE.. Generally the cars will start breaking right away and right after the 60K warranty expires. In the case of any Hyundai GDI engine that will be around 80-100K. Or any BMW that will be 80K at best too. Chevy will be right away, ahahaha. JK.

If a used car salesman ever points out shinny rotors turn around and run.
@hybrid324944 жыл бұрын
ahahaa, that is somewhat true. I used to actually be a car salesman years ago, and I gotta tell you this car was spotless, it's still running strong and no issues of any kind. The way I look at it is, let them spend their money on the car (dealer), chances are they won't get it back on a high mileage car like this. No matter how good the shape is, you're paying for the miles on a 10 year old car, you know.

Why is it so good
@hybrid324945 жыл бұрын
whats up force rc!!! It's good because it's tough to find a reliable high mielage SUV overall. Generally they have many issue with the 4WD systems or emmisions systems. This HONDA is modern looking and yet cheap becuase it's 10 years old. It's a non-turbo, generic 5 speed auto transmission, and is reliable due to it's basic design.

hey buddy! Let me give yo man update on this car, it's been over 2 years since the purchase and only the alternator has needed to be replaced. And yes, you're right, the front suspension takes a beating, these are heavy cars and use mostly regular SEDAN level parts.

Bought a 2009 EX-L with 80k miles in 2016. Today we have 175k, and I've done the timing belt/water pump and replaced the front CV axles at a cost of $500. Otherwise basic maintenance, and the engine is still smooth as butter. We'll drive this one till the wheels fall off.

Ford edge are best suvs especially the ecoboost 4cyl .... You prolly see more chevy equinoxes tho
@hybrid324945 жыл бұрын
the edge was a consideration for this purchase too. It's just that they would be way more expensive for the newer nicer body style and I just don't trust any car with a turbo and over 80K. There are just too many extra variables. I have not been seeing many of the early ford ECOBOOST models on the roads recently either, but HONDAS and Toyotas are everywhere. It's all thermodynamics, boost=more power=less longevity of materials (roughly speaking) plus you need premium gas.

hey man, I didn't know the dealer, this was found with a basic search of used cars, the dealership and Saleman were both really honest and fair. I would definetly buy another car here. You can see the dealership name in the license plate on the front of the car btw. Price was low 7K after some negotiating.

well yes, ofcourse!! There are many, you're right. although when you get into the 100K + range you generally want a Japanese car. I hardly see any German or American cars last and still be like new after 100K. Ofcourse any car can make it to 100+k but it's a matter of how much money it will take and what condition it'll be in.
