Thank you for your videos man, I haven't had any codes thankfully, also just passed smog but I went into my intake manifold and cleaned out my EGR valve and it took me like 30 minutes to pick out like 98% of the carbon from it. I also cleaned out my PCV valve but have a new one on the way, my 03 Honda Pilot with 268k was just having a bit of excess exhaust smoke, burning a bit of oil, and rough idle which so far seems to be fixed... hopefully with a little more TLC it will be like a new old engine again lol.

Need some help here. Was having the misfiring codes and random misfire code show up on scanner without engine light being on. Today I did all the recommended things...replaced PCV and EGR and cleaned ports (it was pretty clean anyway). I also replaced all spark plugs but no boots. Started the car and did the idle relearn procedure as well. Really strange that now the engine light is on along with the VSA light and hazard light for the stability control system. Also, my car was jerky while accelerating on the highway. Is it possible there is now a vacuum leak now somewhere from opening up the top of the engine? The gasket was not broken or anything. Is it possible the PCV OR EGR I put in is faulty? Please help! This is our family car so I need to figure this mess out asap. Also, a new P0523 code popped up. States engine oil pressure sensor/switch - high voltage.

@@PeterZafra thanks for replying so quickly! I just reset it again and did the idle procedure as well. So what's also strange is the cruise function won't work now either...I'm so confused. I double checked all connectors and checked that I didn't over torque the screws on the manifold cover as well. I'm so confused. Could I have caused a vacuum leak? With that many miles, for sure it is. Random misfire points to a lot of different things. Not specific cylinder. Try cleaning the egr ports because that can cause a mis for sure. But if it keeps returning especially with a vtm light, then a valve adjustment might be inevitable. Cheers
