I’m laughing so hard at Esme.. the part with the piece of chicken that fell in the fire. I had a big belly laugh at that! Well I did my dry run in the back yard this last weekend with the new camping gear. Slept in the kamp rite tent cot for the first time. It worked out perfect! I love it. I had my old memory foam mattress I cut it in half and put it inside. Once I warmed up I slept solid all night. I woke up to the rain but I stayed perfectly 100% dry. very impressive! set up and breakdown is so easy. Thank you again Michael it’s because of you that I bought it. It’s going to be perfect for my summer adventures. This next weekend I’m actually going away camping with friends I’m so excited. So happy spring is finally here. It got quite cool here at night but the days have been fantastic. Once again a wonderful video Michael thank you.

Hi Jacqueline - I'm glad you enjoyed the video :D. I'm glad the testing went well - a solid nights sleep is a good sign of a comfortable sleep system - I love the idea of the memory foam mat - I bet that works great! It will be interesting what your friends make of your new camping setup, especially when your all unpacked and setup in 5 minutes :D. Good luck on your adventure - Best wishes Michael & Esme!

Hi Eric - Smaller hills but I can see the Rocky Mountains in the distance from that location. 2 hours further west would bring me to Jasper and the mountains proper. Head east and its flatter and flatter until you reach Saskatchewan and you can watch your dog run away for 3 days :D

Congratulations! Glad you are enjoying it! I found after the first dealer service the shift changes became much smoother. The clutch packs are easy to adjust yourself also. I think there are a few videos online. Interesting to have a comparison with the Kymco UXV 450 - this is the same as the Textron Prowler 500 I believe.

Hi Glen - Spring in Canada is very short. I measure it when the snow has gone until the bugs arrive. Its about 3 weeks :D. My choice of places to emigrate included Canada or New Zealand - Both places have amazing opportunities for outdoor activities. Winter camping is one of my favorite camping experiences - best of luck!

Another Great Video Michael and the 2nd bubble head had me laughing after the 1st one :-) Nothing better than watching more of your videos on a dismal wet Sunday here in Scotland...Kinda wish, i had UTV sometimes instead of walking all the time, lol...Though with the lack of trees here on the West Coast of Scotland, that might be a problem if i got stuck, lol Always a real joy catching up on your past videos Michael :-)

Hi Russ - Glad you like the Esme comments! :) I used to hike a lot in the lake district, snowdonia and part of Scotland but my knees are not what they used to be. I loved the reaction of Esme, when you offered the chicken. It was like..... Mmmmm no. It is not up to fine dining standard. Lol. My old border collie had done that a few times, only when my other dog looked like she wanted it, did she eat it out of spite. Lol.

Nice job outfitting your P500. I’ve been thinking about taking my family camping with mine and my Honda rancher this June. But, families require more gear, so I’ll have to tow my meat wagon loaded with camp with either it or my rancher. Cheers!
@TheEmporiumOutdoors6 жыл бұрын
I'm always reducing my gear - I have a rule that if I don't use something I packed for a couple of trips - I don't bring it anymore (excluding safety gear). I think your family would love the adventure!

Have you since added better tires and or a front locking differential?
@TheEmporiumOutdoors4 жыл бұрын

How do you feel like the noise level is in the cabin? I’m coming from an older sxs (teryx) that was very loud. I don’t expect any sxs to be quiet at wot but would like to be able to have a comfortable conversation with a passenger around 25 mph. What are your thoughts on the noise level in that range?
@TheEmporiumOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Hi Alex - The P500 can be quiet at lower speeds as you can reduce the RPM with the gears manually. The quietest machine I have ridden in was an older V twin 800cc Polaris Mid-Size Ranger. Most modern machines go for power over comfort in my opinion. If I was you I would go and have a test drive - thats the best way to tell 👍

How is the ride. I know those a arms have a short travel distance.
@TheEmporiumOutdoors6 жыл бұрын
Not as plush as some of the larger machines thats for sure - but its not bad. I find the tire pressure effects the ride significantly. I run them at around 6psi typically.
@atcfisherman6 жыл бұрын
Just curious by why not put aggressive tires on it?
@TheEmporiumOutdoors6 жыл бұрын
For 95% of the driving I do these work fine but I would like some 26" Maxxis Big Horns going forward and they are not cheap. When these wear out I'll swap them. What tires would you use?
@atcfisherman6 жыл бұрын
I think the big horns are perfect all around tires. I run ITP XTR tires and they are my favorite. The are a radial too.

Hi Ken - Yup, I've had my fair share of cold nights and also tend to err on the side of caution but I think I got carried away with the spring sunshine :).
