Awesome mate. Whenever I do a gearbox I’m ever fretting as to whether I’ve put the spacers back where they should be 😂. You got this job spot on. I enjoyed watching it. Cheers 👍
@themowerman2 жыл бұрын
Hi mate .. sometimes they come apart easy and other times not so easy.. still it's a job worth doing as it saves the drive system.. and now it's good for another 5 years plus

@@themowerman Sound Big Fella , and just remember its not all about getting down and dirty its about being precise concise , and respectful which you are to the highest level. Never really seen anybody so pragmatic and particular you are a down to earth allrounder. You may think that you are modern , but you are old school as well and that’s really special.

Great Video, I just picked one up with what looks to be the same issue. I would have normally broke it to sell for spares, but will have a look at repairing it as its much simpler gearbox than I had expected.

Nice video and excellent description filming Have done this job a few times and for the sake of a few quid, I always replace the pinion set at the same time..... about £50........... the clutch engages on this and will wear as well. Might have missed it but didn't see you mention the woodruff key on the end of the roller shaft which you'll need to remove (it might just drop out so don't lose it) before you can get the roller off the shaft.

A new one is about £400-£450
@rickthelian22152 жыл бұрын
@@themowerman ouch, an expensive repair especially with labour cost for a homeowner, this is where handy knowledgeable repairs as yourself can be if it from rather than machine going to the tip or stripped for parts. Thanks for information and will be waiting for part 2. We don’t have these types of mower bodies with rollers here in Australia. Naturally Honda Self-Repelled or standard 19 and 22 inch are popular for commercial use.

hi i have the same mower there is nothing wrong with the drive itself it drives perfect but used it a few weeks ago ,when i come to get it out there was oil all over the floor and the roller itself checked the resovoir and its completely emty any idea on which seal it could be or any other ideas tia

@@themowerman spent the whole afternoon playing monkey see monkey do with ya! 😁 I got the clutch out (worn) pinion looked great but the bevel gear centre that mates to the clutch was worn. My bevel gear has spiral teeth with a matching pinion, can’t find the exact one on line but I’m going to the Kubato dealer tomorrow (Kubato w821 pro) dog clutch is the usual type so could probably change to the straight teeth instead of the spiral and change the pinion. Couldn’t have got this far without you, hopefully I’ll update you with a part 2 😆
