You should also be able to find your radio code and serial number on a white sticker Inside your glovebox if they didn't give you a card with it on it.

i have a 2009 accord with the same exact radio and navigation system. i recently got this car and it’s had two owners before me so idk if the nav code can be changed, but basically i found the radio code with the manuals but i could not find any navigation code. any suggestions? i’ve tried any 4 digit codes i could find with all the others but none worked. is there anything i can do? other than reaching out to the old owners to see if they have any idea. thanks!!

You can get the code from any Honda dealership. They will need to VIN if they are willing to provide the code over the phone. Most likely, they’ll want you to bring the car to the dealership to verify ownership before providing you with the code.

What’s up Lique, 🤔 Maybe try disconnecting the red lead from your car battery for 1 minute, then reconnect it (make sure you tighten the connection when you reconnect) then try the process of entering the radio code and Nav code if you have Nav, to see if the XM starts working again. Be sure you have your codes before disconnecting the battery 👍

So you swapped out the DVD unit in the cargo area? The code might be different now since it’s probably coded to the DVD unit. You can try pressing the radio power button in and holding it for 30 seconds until it bypasses the need for a code. If that doesn’t work, you may have to call a Honda dealership for a code. They’re probably going to ask you to bring the car in 😟

Hey man great video. ive gotten a 3 series 6 digit code for mine i entered the first one and it works but my navigation screen is just blank. What button did you use activate the code option on your navigation?

Thank you for the comment and the question. To enter the Nav code, use the large knob to select the correct digits and push it to enter each number. I hope this helps. Sorry I didn’t do capture that part of the process on video.

This is ONLY for RADIO ? What about those models that have an additional NAVI code. One honda dealer says, you have to enter the serial number of the NAVI unit to obtain a 4 DIGIT code. However from a dealers blog, they say that the serial code for your Honda navigation device is located in your trunk below the control unit. Scratching my head/ English Please. !!

Did you buy your car new or used? All new Hondas come with an anti theft code card (included in the owners manual pouch) which has the radio code on it and models with Nav, the anti theft code card has both Nav and radio codes on it. It’s a card the size of a credit card. If you bought your car as a preowned, then another way to access your code numbers is to contact your local Honda dealership and they will give you the codes to you car after you provide proof of ownership.

Hi Sameer, unfortunately the Bluetooth only control the phone functions. In order to play music through a device, you have to plug into the Auxiliary port. There’s one inside the center armrest

Yes..with you vin, call any Honda dealership and they can provide you the code. Most will not supply it via phone, though. They will ask you to bring your car to the dealership to provide proof of ownership. If you have a specific dealership that services your car, I would call them first to see if they will provide your code over the phone

Hi Andrea. You will need to lift your hood to access the battery, disconnect the positive lead (red one) for about 10-30 seconds, reattach the battery lead, then try the code inputs again.

Kh Ebrahim you may want to try pulling the fuse for your system (10-30 seconds) then reinstalling the fuse. This may help reset any issue your Nav is having. Your clock is probably set on the Auto Daylight Saving Mode. Turn that feature off in the menu. Hope this helps.

Hi Armani! The one way I know works for sure, because it’s what I had to do for one of my other Hondas is, go to any local Honda dealership and they will write down your code to your radio and nav(if your car has one) once they enter your VIN into their computer. It’s a free of charge service.
