I bought my 300 yesterday..delivery tomorrow. 1st bike. So many people (who have larger bikes) say this 300 can't handle the highway. But people who OWN this bike (and other 300's) don't seem to have a problem. I'm really glad I saw this video. Even though 90% of my riding will be off highway, it's nice to see how well it handled it in this video. And thank you for not talking through the whole thing.

I've had my 300 now for a year, its a pretty decent bike for city. i have the Diablo rear fender, Diablo Side fairings and led tailight system installed. I put an M4 slip on and you can actually hear the bike better in the wind, sounds good for a single cylinder. I also upgraded the sprocket and it makes a world of difference. knowing after owning, this is a high rpm cruising bike, it's very nimble, and great for slow cruising. Gets a ton of compliments DEFINITELY upgrade the garbage tachometer that Honda put on. You can barely see anything on a cruise, and knowing the rpm you're at. I upgraded to Hogworks led projector 5 3/4" headlight and a new tach from J and P cycles. SO Glad i did.

Most motorcycles are going to be manual; you clutch with your hand and change gear with your foot. There are 6 gears for this bikes transmission, similarly to a car. With this particular bike if you're not used to feeling out RPM for changing gears, as there's no tachometer.

My friend, a modern 300 is not like a 300 from the 80s. I have gone 90 on the freeway which you really should not do. The ABS may save your life, it did mine, many more expensive bikes don't even have it. It is light and narrow which is a big plus! Gets almost 80 miles a gallon! I don't consider it a cruiser at all, I think it's a standard. But just look at the competition, nothing comes close when I comes to price and features. I just don't like the muffler, too big for a 300, maybe I'll change it.
@davidzavala3372 жыл бұрын
@@secutorclaudius I really appreciate your feedback. I called a dealer and I was told one thing they left me thinking, maybe you can clear that. I was told that, yes, a 300cc can cruise at freeway speeds, but RPMS will very high and not at a comfort level for such an engine, thus reducing its lifetime and oil consumption. The rebel 500 I'm quoted at $8100 and the 300 at $6100.
