Rolling Wrench has put together this bolt on perfomance CVT transmission kit for your Honda Ruckus (this fits all Honda Ruckus's from 2003 to 2011 GET motor). This kit comes pretty well assembled (check out the picture). This kit takes no time at all to install and offers a big power gain for the money. This kit will come with a belt, clutch, spacer, variator, variator slider guides and Varitaor rollers. You will be re-using your variator fan and both Clutch and variator nuts. What makes this kit so special? The clutch has been outfitted with performance clutch springs, performance secondary clutch springs, the clutch has larger clutch pads, a performance secondary slider and is also much lighter. The varitor is teflon-coated to keep debris from building up in return keeps rollers from flattening, not to mention this variator is much lighter. A lighter CVT allows lighter rotating mass, this give you better performance. This is the only performance bolt on CVT we know of for the Ruckus!

we have two different types of clutch bells. the one in the video is with a open face variator. if you run the cover the clutch bell is still performance, just not with the cooling fins do to fitment

The parts in this video are different than the parts shown on your web page on your "Honda Rukus/Metro Allready Assembled CVT Transmission Kit" as Listed in your performance parts. This video is accesable on your page when you cick on the CVT Kit. You show using the stock Drive face but the kit comes with the Gold colored lightened Drive face. The clutch bell is also different. Why? Also I cannot get the splined round ratchet part to go on the shaft far enough to engage the ratchet starter. (wont go on far enough. )The rear wheel is not on so I took the radiator off so I can hold the flywheel secure with a 17 mm socket on the nut. Im going to try tighten the Drive face nut that holds the washer on to the ratchet starter that holds the Drive face against the drive face boss to squish the belt to take up the slack. Dont know if this is going to work but I think it will. Your showing using different parts can cause problems as specific parts, specs, etc. are required.

Today, the belt of my Zoomer/Ruckus exploded. I took it apart and I couldn't believe my eyes. The belt had almost no "teeth", they were all gone. The belt was just a bunch of wires and some teeth. Luckily, I was "just" 5 kms from home and the temperature was just 33 degrees celsius. :)

Pedro Gordinho the kind of belt with which i am aquainted is good for 15,000 miles and mine was 11 years old and gave up the ghost at 15,500 miles.

We have the 2020 Ruckus, we did exactly as you did, x3, the clutch was extremely hard to open to add the belt (for my grandson, 25) you made it look much easier. Could the clutch be faulty? It does happen on occasion. The issue we are having is lost performance, also the spacer is getting chewed up. We are experienced, what could be the issue? Is the spacer NOT needed on the 2020 Ruckus? I am not finding much information on this issue, I did find some info on battlescooter.proboards.com/thread/3383. Thanks for any help!

WHAT are you trying to achieve with this setup...not one person mentions what the "Performance" gains are with a different setup. Are you trying to hold a low gear longer? Hey hey! Recently got myself a scoot and looking into making some changes to the CVT! I have myself an electric impact driver but doesn't seem to be strong enough to get the variator nut off from the factory. Any suggestions to get the variator nut off or should I invest in a higher performance impact driver? Thanks for the amazing informative videos!

You could try using a variatior tool to hold the pulley still and then use a socket wrench to remove the nut. It might help to tap on the wrench a bit with a block of wood or rubber mallet.

We have used this on metro scooters as well. It works great, however the belt is not going to fit. We would need to find you another belt.

I don’t have a video yet. That’s what I was kinda waiting on before I put this video out. They can be tricky to tune. If it’s in your budget I have a Plug & Play EFI system that works on the stock GET motor. It’s a 34mm throttle body. You will get the same performance or better than the 20mm carb, but with flawless running. It auto tunes to the atmospheric pressure. This is great for your area. Price is $630, comes with everything and the hand tuner to fine tune. No computer needed and comes with a nice base tune.

dude. YOU INSTALLED THE OLD VARIATOR COVER. THAT COVER HAD A WELDED IN RESTRICTION SPACER! YOU WILL NEVER ACHIEVE THAT NEW CLUTCH POTENTIAL. GRIND DOWN THE VARIATOR COVER (BELT RIDE SURFACE SIDE) TO A SMOOTH PLANE -SHAVING OFF THE SPACER. DRAW A MARKER LINE ON THE BELT SURFACE OF THE VARIATOR TO RECORD BELT TRAVEL ON THE VARIATOR SIDE. ON THE CLUTCH SIDE, ENSURE THE BELT SEATS FULLY DOWN ONTO THE SHAFT. THIS WILL ENSURE FULL BELT SURFACE USE THROUGHOUT THE POWERBAND.
