I just love how japan has these specialised shops just serving the one cult car, it's similar to their food style where the shops just serve one or two types of ramen. Every other country it's basically just a mechanics shops that serves all thus the attention to detail that Japan is so well known for and care and dedication to the one car is not there.

They are experts at their one craft... It's like a samurai.. just in cars I fully agree and am surprised we don't have more very specialty shops like this in the US.

CR was limited to America IIRC. JDM Type S was the equivalent

It’s expensive but I bought like 3k worth of stuff there which would have been well over double buying it in the US. Walked in, bought it with my credit card, got tax free, checked in the boxes at the airport. Got everything home for $38. I don’t know why more people don’t do this

That's exactly what we did on the trip. I went around to all the shops we wanted to visit and everyone went home with suitcases full of parts. I got a great deal on my vertex wheel when I bought it at TAS
