Obviously, I'm a fan of the Shadow. Been riding the Phantom edition since 2017 with no thoughts of changing. Extremely forgiven and always starts right up. Can't say enough good things about it and you nailed this video. Great video!!!💪

I've had Harleys and I've had Hondas. I would buy a Honda Shadow in a heartbeat. My buddy has a 2007 Shadow with Cobra pipes on it and in my opinion it sounds every bit as good as my Harley.

The Honda Shadow is a very good all around bike. The best thing about it is low cost of ownership with excellent gas mileage. However, its also powerful enough with good handling and reasonably comfortable. I also own a Harley heritage, classic totally different bike and bought for totally different reasons. Bikes are like women they’re all beautiful and unique. If you a fan of the Gilligan’s island tv show, now I’m showing my age. Your understand the question “would you rather have Marianne or Ginger.”. Well, I always said why do I have to choose one? Why can’t I have both. My 2015 Honda shadow is Marianne, unique and beautiful in a quiet, respectful and reliable way. Then I have my 2023 heritage classic which is Ginger expensive but exciting, fast and sexy as hell! Well I guess I much be crazy or just living out my fantasies on two wheels!

Ive had Harleys , BMW , Kawasaki, Truimph , Norton , and Yamaha all different sizes i loved them all at one stage in my life but the ones that gave me most joy were my Honda 750 four because of reliability and the amount of miles i put on it without spending a fortune on maintaining the bike , but my all time favourite is the Shadow 2004 spirit had it for a long time now and cant fault it easy to maintain and still rides like new so i guess im bias but opinions vary dont they !

I've known people that for their first bikes, they've bought Harley's and I just snicker to myself and think, all the power to you!! The price's they've paid for them they could get 3 japanese brand bikes for the price of 1, and their paying double or triple for insurance. And living in a country where you can only ride for maybe 7 or 8 months out of the year, if that, if your only a fair weather rider and dont ride in cooler temps, then you won't even get 7months. Paying that price for something that you can get from a japanese bike, all the power to them!! With how much fun i've had on my 1100, i'm having a hard time figuring out what my next bike will be...

Yep, these 750s are geared way too low. hitting 70mph and it feels like the valves are gonna float out the heads. I dropped down to a 38T rear sprocket and it made the bike way way more usable. Cored the baffles on the stock exhaust and felt no need to even look at aftermarket exhausts after that. Its a great cheap to own little bike. To be honest, I love my spirit 750 more than my vulcan voyager 1700.

I agree, and I don't know why I never think to mention the 1100. It's a great bike!!! I'm not sure of the specs, but I'm betting that it's not much heavier than the 750.

@@meandmyshadow7839 I own a Shadow Sabre 1100 and love it. The main things I like: shaft drive, liquid cooled, 3 valves per cylinder, no fuel injection, runs on regular gas, and I think the only computer chip on the bike is in the electronic ignition - that's it. Great bike, cheap to buy, to repair, to insure.....about 42 mpg....not as good as the 750 Shadow but it would be nice to have the 6th gear too.

well that's a view of the shadow through rose colored glasses, the shadow might look a little different to some who tend to see things a little more realistic. i will concede that to the average bystander the shadow is a good looking motorcycle, honda went to great lengths to make the shadow look like a harley, unfortunately it's all fake, everything's plastic, even the faux cooling fins on the cylinders are plastic bolt on's. as far as the claim it has enough power, if you are looking for a motorcycle to leisurely putt-putt around the neighborhood flapping your jaws than the shadow is definitely the bike for you. I have no doubt that for some people the shadow's power is perfectly adequate for their level of riding ability but in the real world facts are facts and the facts are, the shadow like the one in this video and the one i own weighs just under 600 lbs and is factory rated to have only 43 hp at the crank which equates to approximately 37 hp at the rear wheel. people can claim whatever they want but there are going to be a lot of everyday riding situations where a 600 lb motorcycle with an anemic hp/lb ratio of only 0.0696 is going to be highly inadequate and even dangerous in some situations, physics are physics..........
@meandmyshadow78395 ай бұрын
@abruptlyblunt All of your points are well thought out though I disagree with your conclusions. Sorry that you feel that my view is unrealistic however, the Shadow is one of the best bikes made, and I and over 1k folks in this community love the motorcycle. Thanks for the comment.
