Can you explain the accessories you have. (Not so much the camera items for filming but all the others.) Like the u shaped mirror, amd the tire guage, cup holder,and the bag i see on gas tank. What they are, how they connect to the bike, and if you have a link so you could get commission if we bought it. I know I want to get the tire guage thing and I need a bag to put my gun, and basics like gum, insurance and registration.. to name a few. Just not sure what to get

Yes, I can definitely point those items out for you. The tank bag is just a Walmart tank bag. Held on by magnets. The blind spot mirror is called a Riderscan (Amazon) Lome twenty bucks. The tire pressure monitor system TPMS is called Sykick (Amazon) around 50 bucks. Works off of Bluetooth stem caps. That's a start, anyway lol

I think its a personal choice. When I ride behind my hubby I wear knee short, sneakers and a T shirt, but when I start riding my bike by myself, I will wear Jeans, boots and , T shirt (or when it gets cooler a jacket and chaps ( which i need to buy before that time.) But I think as I get more comfortable riding I might go back to knee shorts. But we see. As for a bike or gettinv a new one it is according to how much I drive this one. Hubby says i I ride a lot he will buy me a Harley next year. It wont be a new one but there are a lot of new Harleys out there for sale. I might just ride my 750 til the wheels fall off. I mean its in excellent shape. It had 977 miles on it when I bought it. I am still breakkng it in at new stage.. if I add a little chrome to it. It look even better. So i may just keep it ...

When braking from real cruising speeds (let’s say 70) try to leave the clutch engaged as long as possible. This will make bike much more stable on the trajectory. Don’t be afraid of stalling the engine-it won’t happen as long as wheels are spinning. Leave the whole clutch/downshifting business to the late stages of the process. Focus on progressive braking. Ideally the whole thing goes like this: Roll off the throttle (important:), then start with rear brakes. Fraction of second later start to progressively applying front brake. As the front suspension loads up go easy on the rear to prevent wheel lock and sliding. As we still have our clutch engaged the torque from the engine keeps the rear wheel from getting locked. As the speed have dropped to about 20 mph you may pull the clutch and start downshifting.

No worries! This might sound a bit complicated, but the safe and efficient emergency braking is a fine skill indeed. Many aspects vary on different bikes. That’s why practice it in safe environment first. Get a good feel of how your own bike behaves. Make this braking process fluid and automatic. Practice is everything! Just don’t overheat your brakes:) Ride safe!

A number of years ago i almost went down on my old shadow, cruising up to a light here in town, light turned yellow, i grabbed almost a full fist of front brake, was some gravel pebbles on the road, was in the spring so it could of been left over from winter, front tire kicked, and i managed to release the brake and came to a stop before i ate pavement. BIG time learning curve... Great video and lots of good info!!

I have done the same. Almost ate pavement, exiting the freeway, and the car in front suddenly hit their breaks. The same thing grabbed too much front. Was able to release and recover. However, it was definitely a brown undies moment. After that, I told myself never again.

Thanks for the video. Great info! Talking about the friction zone on where the bike starts moving. Do you have a preference where that release point is? On my bike it is almost at the very end of where you release the clutch so it seems like I am releasing the clutch forever before the bike actually starts moving. I think I be more comfortable if the bike started moving when I get about 3/4th of the way out with the clutch. What are your thoughts on that?
@meandmyshadow7839
@meandmyshadow7839 9 күн бұрын
You can always make an adjustment to fit what you would prefer. For me, I like to start to feel the engagement of the drive about half way thru the clutch release. It all depends on what you get used to. I know that on a few test rides of other shadows, the release point was closer to the end, and it felt a little weird. The trick is getting the release as smooth as possible. Once you get that down, it really doesn't matter.

After looking around and sitting on a lot of bikes, I have come to realize that my "dream" bike is not a brand, but rather its a "style" a "look" a "feel"...challenge is finding a bike that fits those for me in one bike lol like the Dyna I had, it had the style and look I wanted, but not the feel, my shadow has the style, and look that the Dyna did, but has the feel I like but not the comfort I want for longer trips without changing the look by adding comfort modifications. My choices are now narrowed down to 99-2003 Yamaha road stars, 99-2005 Suzuki intruder/boulevard 1500, and 99-2005 Kawasaki Vulcan nomads or the Harley Dyna switchbacks

I looked forever and ended up with a 2012 Honda Shadow 750 RS It had 977 miles on it when I got it. It had a trike kit on it that neither of the 2 previous owners liked so they rarely road it and got an actual trike MC shortly after and kept this one in the garage. Needless to say it Is in excellent condition and I can't wait to get the lowering kit in so I can learn to ride and hit the road. I used to own a scooter back in the day so I just got to get over the 'oh crap, this thing is bigger than me." Feeling so I can get comfortable on it. Even laid the bike over cause I was standing on my tiptoes and bike leaned to right and rolled my right ankle and bruised inside left shin. Hi Tim, I hope all is well. Yes, air pressure is very important I check my tires and the tires air pressure every time I ride. In addition, I keep a bicycle pump in my tour pack at all times. We must remember that we only have two tires and any issues with a tire can be critical. GO BILLS! What did you think of the article?

Hi Ronald, I loved the article, and I hope that you watch my video that is premiering today at 1030am central time. You are mentioned in it a lot. I discussed you and the article.

Good review...been looking for something like this for my bike. I'd like to see it run up a flat car/truck tire from 0-36psi and not over heat...plus, It said it could run up to 120psi, so my camper tires are set to 80psi...I'm thinking even though it says 120psi it'll struggle or overheat to reach 80 on one tire...but if not that would be cool (I've burnt up a cheap pump trying to get 80psi before). However, for a bike tire (my Triumph Tbird is 36 front/38 rear) it looks to be pretty solid.

Yeah, I am not sure how heavy duty it really is. I think for motorcycle applications, it will be fine. I wonder about a car but we shall see soon enough. Thanks for commenting and watching

A nice accessory to carry around in your saddle bag for yourself or to help others especially if you have a slow leaking tire and just want to get home, even if you have to stop a couple times and put more air in. I liked having tubeless tires on my last 3 bikes and when I had my 1500 Goldwing I loved having an accessory air hose and fitting already built inside the right saddle bag that operated off of the air suspension compressor then I bought an 1800 but they had a hydraulic suspension and no air compressor so I bought a little portable 12 volt compressor that plugged into a cigarette lighter socket and rewired the end with a spare reversed battery tender quick connect plug to operate directly off the battery, since I'm driving a Honda Helix scooter now I rigged another one up just like it and carry it along with 2 different types of tire plugs gummies & mushroom head types for a little piece of mind, I've never had to use it yet but I stopped to help another rider one day with a flat and wouldn't you know it his BMW had tubes, but he carried a spare tube and I still helped him change it and supplied the needed air.
