Honda Shadow Phantom oil change

Oil change on my 2010 Honda shadow Phantom. Bought the oil change kit from Amazon. It’s a quick easy job. Get it done and get out and ride.

I have a 2013 Phantom with the exact same windshield. Thea dealer told me they take 3.25 quarts of oil. I think they said that just so I bought another quart. I googled it and you are 100% correct LOL! Over 16$ each for the synthetic honda oil. UGH!!

I use the shell rotella T6 and a mobil M110 filter. Way cheaper than a honda kit, better quality and the oil will give you 2 oil changes (but I use mine in my ATV 's as well).

Nice bike! do yourself a favor and relocate that tool bag away from the front fender, seen it too many times.... eventually you will bottom out your forks and either scratch the fender to death or worse bend/brake it.

When I put the bag on up front there. The straps that came with it were crap. So I tried zip ties. They sorta held it in place. Put my little tool kit in there. Then took it back out. The bag now rides emptied as just decoration.

Why would you not check the oil level with the dipstick? That is one reason I watched the video. On some bikes you measure on the kickstand and some level, or screw the dipstick on and others you rest it on top.

@sdavidb5620, I just bought a 2014 shadow phantom, but the fairing on it is low and the wind being directed straight to my face is killing me - would you please tell me what windshield you have yours?

I normally try to not fill it past the filler neck but if I go to the bottom of the filler neck that breather overflow tube will drip gas it eventually stops but it's kind of annoying do you get this on your motorcycle

@@sdavidb5620 oh ok .. it only happens after a fill up when it 100 plus outside and goes away after first ride .. I guess I just won't fill it up close to the bottom of the filler neck ..ya know

Hello .. I have a 2012 Honda Shadow Spirit 750 fuel injected bike and I live in Las Vegas Nevada and today it was 117°, it gets extremely hot out here and I noticed when I feel my bike all the way up to the top that the breather to starts to drip gas out of it is this normal do you get this

Over filled .

When you fill in that heat. Leave a bit of room for the fuel to expand.
